Regular Price $8.49/Lb
A very rich, strong and smooth cup. A cousin to Sumatra or Sulawesi coffee; Blue Moon always is a bit smoother without as much peaty earthiness, or swampy fruit. A sweeter cup for an Indo with malt, chocolate with a little traditional earthy terroir of the wet-hulled Indonesians. Fuller bodied, a little hint of acidity at a medium roast, a definite go to for our strong-medium or dark roasts here at Burman Coffee. Pulls some molasses undertones as ones pushes into second crack roasts. Hints of slight smoky tone at darker roast.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.49.$7.49Current price is: $7.49.$8.49/lb$7.49/lb -

Very fermenty/fruity, lower acidity cup with good body. A wild old world natural processed good from light to dark. A beautiful tasting bean this season: slightly fruitier but still balances with traditional Indonesian character. Hints of acidity with stronger fruitiness at lighter roasts, strong fruit/oak tones on a more nutty/earthy/chocolaty profile at darker roast points. No missing the wild side in this cup. Medium roasts are where one should shoot for their first roast, mutes some nutty tones and pronounces the chocolaty factor for some balance, still plenty of wild fruity natural processed tones in the cup. Dark roasts will introduce some smoky accents but retain great sweetness. A great balance of slow dried natural with thick and creamy dark tones all in one cup.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.49.$7.49Current price is: $7.49.$8.49/lb$7.49/lb -

Tasty from medium to dark. We preferred it a bit on the darker side. Lighter roasting is wild and decently fruit forward, sweet with a little acidity upfront; winy and brandy like with some lingering dry nutty/earthy tones, a bit of floral in the aftertaste, good but not chocolaty enough for us. Medium roasts mellow the cup a bit, turning it more chocolaty, fuller bodied and refining the fruitiness, making it a cup everyone will love, not just natural processed fans. Reminiscent of a nice Yemen Mokka but a bit more brandy like. Smooth and easy drinking. Dark roasts worked exceptionally well. Chocolaty but not overly roasty, sweet with just a pinch of fruit in the aftertaste. A bit of bolder spice compliments the more delicate features: great mouthfeel.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.49.$7.49Current price is: $7.49.$8.49/lb$7.49/lb -

To see these beans shine, keep them in the light-medium roast level. Will work darker roasted but will burn out many of the natural processed tones that make these beans a bit more expensive. Snazzy grape skin fruitiness reminiscent of the Panama coffees will be the first note to hit the tongue, lower acidity overall but will still have hints of citric at lighter roast points giving some floral highlights. Good fuller bodied cup light to dark; a sign of its Indonesian heritage. The darker tones are mostly chocolaty pulling a lovely balance with the fruitier aspects but one will also be able to see a little nuttier character as well.Price:Price: Original price was: $9.99.$8.49Current price is: $8.49.$9.99/lb$8.49/lb -

A very tasty Robusta coffee. Clear stone fruit tones upfront with a hint of floral, giving a nice and sweet edge. Balanced with a thicker and stronger darker spice tone that only Robusta will have. No replicating this cup with Arabica beans. Reminiscent of European espresso, some love the spicy tones of Robusta, others will not, but definitely worth a try if you have not had it before. Darker roasts get real thick and creamy, mostly chocolaty/smoky with spice but the fruit will pop out a little in the aftertaste or as the cup cools. Light roast will pull a little grassy but accentuate the fruitiness of the cup, still very tasty but a little on the earthy side.

A cool and slightly different spin from an Indonesian Sumatra but right along the same taste profile. Low acidity with a fuller body and mostly darker toned. If you roast it before 2nd crack you can notice a little hint of acidity but it is pretty faint. Chocolaty, smoky, earthy (in a good contrast) and thick. Good as a single origin drinker for an Indo fan, very clean prep and a classic and clean Indo profile, or good for a blend component to raise body and give darker toned contrast.

A lovely super clean coffee. Lighter roasts will show some crisp hints of citric acidity leaving a sweet edge to the cup. Medium body and pretty chocolaty, one gets a little veggie in the aftertaste at the light roasts, a hint of cucumber. Clean and defined at the lighter roast points is what separates this cup from average and shows how cool a Java coffee can be. Medium roasts lean the cup more towards a straight chocolaty note with just a little hint of lemony goodness upfront, considered low acidity at a medium roast and beyond. The jazzy veggie tone mutes up at a medium roast, which for some is good, others bad. Depends on what you like. Darker roasts push a strong chocolaty factor with some smoky and roasty notes. Like a Sumatra but much cleaner without the earthier factor.

A beautiful offering unlike any Java we have had before. These beans taste decently closer to a Central American Honey processed than other Indonesian coffees we have had. Lighter roasts produce a delicate and sweet exotic cup of coffee, lighter bodied with some crisp lemony acidity right upfront and pronounced red fruit tones. Medium roasts get a bit more chocolaty and lesson the raw lemony acidity without reducing too much of the fruity factor. Dark roasts get more traditional Indo tasting, much edgier with smoky and roasty chocolaty notes and a little fuller bodied. The aromatics on this cup regardless of roast levels let you know you have something exotic and special.

Best server from the medium to dark roasts. The traditional Indonesian wet-hulling leaves a potent and darker toned cup almost always best medium to dark. Similar to Sumatra coffee or Bali Blue Moon. This cup picks up the character we often associate with Sulawesi coffee. When medium roasted, has just a pinch of citric character, a little soft fruit tone adding some sweetness with strong earthy/chocolate/peat notes that will linger on the tongue. Big bodied coffee, lower acidity with more potent stout like features. Darker roasting adds in some smoky layers complimenting the peaty and chocolaty notes. No citric in the cup here, but that sweet little fruit note will still poke out as the cup cools.Price:Price: Original price was: $7.49.$5.99Current price is: $5.99.$7.49/lb$5.99/lb -

Best served from medium to dark roast. An unique and tasty treat for Indonesian fans. Pushing the roast at least into the medium roast ballpark will provide clear and crisp tones. Thick and creamy coffee, low acidity, semi-sweet chocolate with a bit of spice. A bit neutral tasting at the darker roasts making it a great candidate for espresso, or as a blender component to add thick and robust dark tones. Although the washed processed is way cleaner than any wet-hulled offering, it will still be fairly earthy and vegetal at lighter roast points like most Indonesian coffees.

Regular price $7.25/Lb Very clean cupping for an Indonesian – reminds me of the top years for the Blue Moon. Great medium to dark roast coffee. A little hint of a citrus acidity; almost a little orangeish type tone and very chocolaty. Medium roast is our preferred roast, retains just a hint of that citrus acidity with a thick and creamy chocolaty undertone. Dark roasts are awfully tasty as well but will add a smoky tone along with bittersweet chocolate.

Big bodied with a creamy mouth feel. Low acidity with very chocolaty and earthy (complex like whiskey or scotch) tones being very predominant. Depending on roast, one can add a nice smoky profile by touching or going into 2nd crack. Lighter and one gets a much smoother and sweeter cup with almost a little soft fruit tone but risks some grassyness.
