We thought this coffee bean was best roasted between a medium to just before 2nd crack roast. Resulting coffee has a good bit of citrus crispness with pretty floral aromatics balancing with a bit of bakers chocolate and spice. Similar to the washed processed coffee but a little fuller bodied with a little different acidity. Lighter roasts get very jazzy acidity with strong citric notes but can come off a little earthy, a longer setup helps with light roasts. A good hefty cup best from medium to dark roasts. Medium to full bodied with a bit of acidity behind it; buzzy citric/floral brightness balanced with a strong chocolate and spice darker tones. Similar to Rwanda/Burundi/Kenya but with a bit more body and stronger cup features. A clean well rated cup; lighter roasts accentuate the brighter more floral tones, a bit more showy of a cup but not as chuggable, can pull a little herbal balance. A nice medium roast was our favorite bringing excellent balance between the sweet floral and chocolate/spice. If your not a big acidity fan, darker roasts are the way to go, mutes up most of the brighter cup features presenting a real big bodied, smoky, complex and very dark toned cup of coffee.Price: $6.99/lb - 5.79/lbPrice: $6.99 -

Wild and crazy coffee. This will not taste like coffee as you know it. Fruity, boozy, oaky, sweet, spice, chocolate, herbal, & peat are just some of the notes you will run into. A sizzling new wave coffee reminiscent of bourbon or scotch. Our buddies who put it together on the ground note it as: Fruit cocktail, pineapple, canned peach, tangy.
Best at the light to medium roast levels. A blasty new wave cup with tons of sweetness. Lighter roasts are dominated with citric, red fruit, ferment and hoppy like goodness. A front loaded cup that will appeal to higher acidity fans that like a very fruit forward and exotic cup. Pulls a smidge of balance with that classic Zambia herbal/chocolate/spice darker tone. Needs a longer setup time before drinking for best results
Medium roasting is much more balanced, but still plenty exotic. Hints of citric with noticeable red fruit that fades into layers of cocoa and spice. Fuller bodied with a more chocolaty spin, one still wont be able to miss those exotic floral tones but they will not hit you over the head, more highlights the cup. Dark roasts get even fuller bodied but burn out some sweetness and the more floral tones (low acidity) which balance the cup so nicely, adds in some toasty smoky notes which some will like.

Best at the light to medium roast level. Good bit of citrus and red fruit upfront balanced with a thicker chocolate and spice note. Light roasts get very jazzy acidity, with just a hint of a dark tone. Floral and sweet edged, with an emphasis on the fruitiness of the cup. Medium roasting is much more balanced, medium to full bodied and far less sharp than the lighter roasts, but also less fruity. More of a chocolaty cup with fruity highlights. Dark roasts get even fuller bodied but burn out some sweetness, taste like semi-sweet chocolate on the roasty/smoky side, thick with a bit of spice in the aftertaste. A hint of fruitiness as the cup cools but hard to tell its natural processed roots at darker roasts.

Similar to the washed processed but a little fuller bodied with unique and stronger acidity. Light roasts get very jazzy acidity, almost hop like, with just a hint of a dark tone. A bit sour for some but others will love it. Floral and sweet edged, reminiscent of green apple, with stronger citric notes. A hint of a dark tone to be found but pretty front loaded with lighter tones. Medium roasting is much more balanced, but less of that cool acidity, just as tasty but a bit less exotic. Fuller bodied with a more chocolaty spin, one still wont be able to miss those exotic floral tones but they will not hit you over the head, more highlights the cup.
