All very fresh coffee, current or new crop. Great premium screens on Co-op and Mill production coffees. Larger production coffees keep the costs down. Although these are not single farm micro lots, they are very tasty coffees giving the true terroir of their production areas and producing nations. A pleasure to drink and 100% responsibly sourced.

This Bolivian FT. Org San Juan Coop green coffee is a washed lot from Caranavi (La Paz, Bolivia), an area in the Yungas region known for its humid, foggy climate, steep slopes, and difficult access. Much of the territory remains covered by natural forest, resulting in a predominance of small, well-managed farms. The San Juan Cooperative was founded in 1974 to support coffee-growing families using organic/chemical-free methods and holds Organic (1999) and Fair Trade (2000) certifications. Following a decline in productivity (2006–2017), they strengthened quality control and protocols, centralizing laboratory verification and separating coffees that do not meet export standards.

This green coffee lot comes from small producers in southern Huila, Colombia, grown at high elevations (about 1,700–2,000 masl) in volcanic soils and featuring the Pacamara variety, a hybrid known for its large beans. It’s a washed coffee with extended fermentation in water tanks (36–48 hours) to build a juicier, more vibrant profile. In the cup, expect red plum and guava, clean honey-like sweetness, with hints of blueberry as it cools, a medium-to-full body, and a smooth finish with a touch of nuttiness; it often shines best at medium roast.

This is a small holder aggregate production, so not a single farm, but masterful blend of small lots which by blending, create a high end regional example. Larger bean screen, very low defects with tastes to match the appearance.
Costa Rica’s Central Valley is widely considered the heart of the country’s coffee industry, shaped by high elevations, steady weather patterns, and volcanic soils that have supported coffee farming for generations. Coffee has been part of Costa Rica’s economic story since the late 1700s, and by the 1820s it had become a major agricultural export.

The stronger chocolate undertones mix very well with the floral sweetness on top to create a lovely balance. Lighter roasts were interesting, pulls a bit of sweet green tea like spice, but for most Central American fans, shooting a bit fuller and creating a more chocolaty cup will be the way to go.

Low acidity, smooth body, and a clean, mellow sweetness. Best from medium to dark roasts. Primary cues of baker’s chocolate and cedar/soft spice, with a round, calmly sweet finish Monsoon character minus the caffeine “edge.” As roast deepens, expect more cocoa/wood and a touch of malt. Unlike its caffeinated cousin, there is some earthiness but its not over the top, the decaf monsooned is more rich and chocolate/earth with some lingering spice.

In the cup, it ranges from sweet and delicate in light roasts (with hints of spice/nut and a floral nuance), to rounder in medium roasts (chocolate and a soft sweetness), and deeper and denser towards medium-dark roasts, with more intense chocolate and greater body.

A great clean decaf coffee! Good from light to dark. Lighter roasting will show a little lemony crispness, rare for a decaf. Sweeter edged with a little herbal chocolate contrast. Medium roasts cut out most of the lemony crispness and rid the cup of its herbal edge. Smooth and rich, medium bodied, with a more pronounced chocolate tone; a bit floral and sweet in the aromatics, adds to the drinking experience but doesn’t come through in the tastes. Darker roasts are robust and strong, semi-sweet and very chocolaty with a roasty edge.

From El Salvador, originating in Ahuachapán in the Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range (an area linked to the Ruta de las Flores, or Flower Route), cultivated on volcanic slopes at around 1200 meters above sea level. This altitude favors dense beans and a balanced, sweet, and very clean cup. It is a washed process lot that combines the Bourbon Rojo, Pacas, and Cuscatleco varieties (the latter developed locally to support the renewal of coffee plantations in the face of coffee rust without sacrificing cup quality). In terms of sensory profile, it is described as a simple yet refined cup: it begins with apple and brown sugar, evolving towards toasted nuts, caramel, and a lingering, slightly almondy finish with moderate and pleasant acidity.

A wonderful example of a top grade washed Ethiopian. Best served in the light to medium roast range, a very delicate and sweet cup. Hints of citrus and soft fruit comingle with floral, caramel, chocolate and tea like spice. Heirloom Ethiopian strains have a taste like no other and offerings like this one showcase their uniqueness. For acidity fans, a light roast ending real close to 1st crack will have a stronger lemony citric edge, covers up a bit of the delicate floral/fruit but crisp, clean and sweet. We personally liked it better just a shade or two darker, splitting the difference between light and medium. It will mellow the citric tones popping out the sweet floral, while building a bit more sweet caramel/chocolate darker tone with a hint of tea like spice in the aftertaste. Crisp but not overly acidity. Darker roasts go the other way covering up the citric and floral with strong chocolate and herbal tones. The aromatics are fantastic on these beans and will add wonderful floral depth to the tastes.

Good from light to dark but we thought best at a strong medium to dark roast. A good bean to go after a rich and semi-exotic chocolate tone with some wonderful aromatics and a bit of spice. Light roasts are more citric and floral with wonderful aromatics and a sweet edged, a bit punchy in the citric department and contrasts with a bit of nutty/herbal/grassy undertones. Works well but needs a much longer setup time bring out smooth and clean tastes, sharp and grassy/herbal if drank too soon. Medium roasts will bring some lovely balance to the cup and provides a clean tasting brew without waiting a week to drink it. One starts seeing the chocolate aspect but will still pull some balance with the citric and floral. Less aromatic than the light roasts, but you can still tell you have a nice Ethiopian with one sniff. Darker roasts touching or into second crack are real robust, strong and semi-sweet, more bakers-chocolate like with tea like spice in the aftertaste.

This Guatemalan is a washed processed and sun-dried green coffee that combines production from different regions and departments of Guatemala (harvested between October and February), aiming for a classic and consistent profile. It comes from areas with volcanic soils and an average altitude of around 1,372 meters above sea level, which typically produces firmer and more stable beans for roasting. An interesting aspect is the micro-processing approach: many producers (often in indigenous communities) process their own harvest on small farms, controlling cherry selection, pulping, fermentation, and drying. They then organize themselves into cooperatives to store and transport the parchment coffee for export through Guatemala City, in addition to accessing technical assistance and practices such as reusing byproducts (pulp) for fertilizer.

I always love the Kona profile. We thought these beans to shine from a medium to dark roast. Lighter roasting will produce hints of a fruity island acidity balanced with a chocolaty/nutty undertone, jazzed up with a hint of herbal spice in the aftertaste. As the roast progresses the cup gets pretty low acidity and the nutty and chocolaty factor will get accentuated. Close or into 2nd crack you will get some added smoky and roasty notes that will compliment the sweeter cup profile.

The cup is crisp, clean, and balanced: a bright lemon-driven lift up front, a sweet base of chocolate and caramel, nutty hints (almond/peanut-butter-like), and a gentle herbal/tea-spice finish; as it cools, light florals plus cocoa and brown sugar sweetness can show. This is a washed coffee from the Korgua farm, located on the Kuta Ridge within the Waghi Valley (Western Highlands), the Nebilyer Valley area. Grown at around 1400 meters above sea level, it uses Bourbon and Typica varieties. It’s a lot with a “classic” PNG profile, but with a distinct farm character, linked to the work of Brian Leahy and his Kuta Mill, created as a neutral point so that producers from rival tribes could bring their coffee without conflict. In the cup, it tends to be fuller-bodied and creamier, with low to moderate acidity and a rich mouthfeel. In light roasts, a sharper citrus note emerges, accompanied by hints of dried fruit, caramel, cocoa, a touch of herbal spices, and floral nuances. When roasted to a medium, it becomes especially chocolatey, smooth, and well-rounded.

The cup is medium bodied, lower acidity and rich. A little hint of acidity upfront which leaves a little hint of caramel/floral at the lighter roast points but can risk a little earthiness. Anything even into the medium roast range is pretty chocolaty and smooth with just a pinch of a spice note. Darker roasts get a bit fuller bodied and roasty with some nice smoky accents.

A great daily drinking Peru! Best right around a medium roast but works well from light to dark. It stands out for being a very clean and sweet cup. At lighter roast levels it has some crisp acidity, not over the top but noticeable, gives a quick hit lemon and floral that will balance with nutty and chocolate like darker tones. Small hints of caramel and dried fruit will pop out with a little setup. At medium roast levels, you get more of a smooth easy drinking cup, less acidity with accentuated nutty/chocolate tones, a hint of spice in the aftertaste, provides the best balance of light/dark tones. Darker roasts are a little flat and roasty, but on the more neutral side, classic darker roast beans: smooth, rich and on the roasty chocolate side of things with a little nuttiness in the aftertaste.

This lot of Rwanda Dukunde Kawa Mbilima is truly special. It comes from small family farms located in the Gakenke district, very close to a natural gorilla habitat. In this region, cultivation is so artisanal that farm plots are not measured by hectares, but by the number of trees each family owns. The coffee is processed at the Musasa mill by the Dukunde Kawa Cooperative. The most remarkable and beautiful aspect of this project is that more than 80% of its workforce is made up of women. By enjoying this cup, you are not only experiencing a coffee of the highest quality, but you are also directly supporting these female producers, who use their earnings to improve their standard of living through access to healthcare, investments in livestock, and the development of programs to protect the environment. An exceptional coffee with a real social impact.

New Crop Rwanda! This is a fully washed Bourbon from Nyamasheke, near Lake Kivu, where the cool, humid conditions influenced by the nearby Nyungwe forest and the region’s volcanic-influenced soils help produce clean, well-structured cups. It’s processed through the Jarama washing station network and typically dried on raised beds at high elevation (around 1700–1900 masl). At a medium roast you’ll usually get a sweet, clean profile with a nutty/chocolate base and a light citrus lift; roasted lighter it leans brighter and more fruit-forward (grape-like), and pushed darker it turns deeper and sweeter with more cocoa and caramelized sugar and less acidity.

An interesting and complex Tanzania Peaberry, best from light to medium roasts, but works darker as well. At lighter roast points it grabs your attention right from the start with a vibrant and juicy acidity, slightly higher than usual, with hints of sweet orange and lemon. The crisper cup profile gives the cup a lot of lively flavor depth including it more potent deep chocolate and cocoa notes, accompanied by a classic African spice note, an herbal nuance clearly reminiscent of black tea; far from clashing, this herbal touch creates an excellent and highly appealing interplay of flavors in the cup. It has a medium body that accentuates and becomes denser as the temperature drops. In the background, there is a fruity sweetness, praline, and a slight hint of amaretto, resulting in a very balanced cup. Moving into darker roasts, it will lose its acidity, consequently gaining more body and intensifying its chocolate and sweet notes.

Tanzanian peaberry is always high on our list for darker roast beans: rich and chocolaty cups with robust and unique spice notes. This one being fresh as can be works pretty well from light to dark, if too light it can get a little grassy/herbal, but a clean and balanced cup with just a little development past first crack, a city+ roast they would call it. Retains its cleanliness into the darker roast points. Lighter roasts are going to be more acidic, not quite like a Kenya but a pretty clear citric edge balancing with a little hint of chocolate. Hit the roast right and you will see a pinch of caramel sweetness with a longer setup, but get it a bit too light, will have an herbal edge. Medium to dark roasts are pretty bullet proof. Medium will still show a hint of acidity, darker will lose it all. Either roast level will be nice and chocolaty with some spice behind it. If your a cold brew fan, lighter roasts points were pretty awesome, no risk of herbal and it popped out the sweeter caramel note much easier, a lighter bodied and sweeter cup.

Coming from family farms organized through Cooperativa Café Timor (CCT) and is sourced from the regions of Ainaro, Ermera, and Liquiçá, grown at 800–1600 masl and washed then dried on raised beds. The listed variety is Timor Hybrid a naturally occurring Arabica × Robusta cross first identified in Timor in the 1920s, widely known for its rust resistance used in many Arabica breeding lines. In the cup it’s sweet, comforting, and clean, led by plum over a base of almond, caramel, and chocolate, with a smooth, well-rounded profile and gentle sweetness rather than sharp acidity. For roasting, it’s described as easy to work with: light-to-medium keeps the fruity sweetness while building caramel/nut tones, while darker roasts push it toward caramelized sugar and toast just watch development after first crack so you don’t lose the fruit and complexity.

This Ugandan Robusta coffee is a washed lot sourced from smallholder farmers (with typical farms of less than 2.5 hectares, often with intercropped plants), graded as Screen 17+ based on bean size, and grown at altitudes between 1900 and 2200 meters above sea level, with a harvest that generally runs from November to January. The variety is simply listed as Robusta, and its flavor profile is savory and straightforward, with abundant peanut notes and a pronounced woody character, standing out more for its structure and body than for its aromatic complexity. For roasting, it is described as versatile, but it typically yields the best results with a medium-dark to dark roast to soften the woody notes and enhance the sweetness (especially useful for espresso or blends), while avoiding over-roasting to prevent a bland or burnt taste.

Kateshi Estate’s RFA-certified peaberry is a great snapshot of what makes Zambia exciting right now: a pioneering Northern Province estate (founded in 1972) with a real community footprint supporting clean water access, local schools, and an on-site health clinic. All while also being known for challenging gender norms in equipment roles and even sponsoring the Kateshi Coffee Bullets football club. On the cup side, this peaberry (grown around 1300 masl, varieties Castillo, Catimor 129, and F6) shines light to medium with citrus/red-fruit lift, floral sweetness, and a thicker chocolate-and-spice base; medium roasts balance fruit and cocoa best, and darker roasts lean more into dense semi-sweet chocolate with a smoky edge.

Nsunzu is the youngest of Zambia’s NCCL estates, set at the foot of Mount Nsunzu in the Northern Province. Nsunzu’s first full crop was harvested in 2020 and despite the ability to mechanize, the estate intentionally hand-picks to select only the ripest cherries while providing steady jobs in a region with limited paid work. This Rainforest Alliance washed lot is an AA selection of Catimor 129, grown around 1400–1650m, and it’s built to be versatile across roast levels: lighter roasts lean citrus with a soft cocoa edge, mediums bring a smoother chocolate-and-spice balance, and darker roasts deepen body and chocolate while keeping a clean finish with a lingering spicy note.
