*THIS IS A VERY EXOTIC COLOMBIAN – make sure you like Natural Processed coffees before putting this one in your cart. Very fruity with clear slow dry fermentation and a stronger winy factor. Unlike other Colombians but a very awesome and high rated offering for natural processed fans.
A lovely coffee from light to dark. Lighter roasts have some decent acidity and very strong fruity tones, almost raspberry like with the acidity in the cup, sweet edged with some hints of a nutty and chocolaty undertone. If you love fruity naturals, keep it on the lighter side for an exotic treat. This coffee is fruity enough where it retains throughout the roasts levels, medium to dark roasts build almost a mokka/java like blend all in a single origin offering. Strong chocolate tones mixing with a strong red fruit, a little smoky/roasty but we thought it complimenting the cup profile.

An exotic Colombian far from traditional Colombian tones. If one was not told it was produced in Colombia, most would think this to be a fancy Ethiopian coffee with a fuller body.
A great cup from light to dark. To showcase the quality of this coffee, keep it on the lighter side; lemon, floral, soft fruit, a ton of sweetness, tea like spice all balance on a fuller bodied cup. Can be a little acidic for some but a great roast level. Medium roasts bring layers of complex darker tones into the foreground, similar to a Yirgacheffe, it is sweet tea like and floral with a little hint of fruit in the aftertaste. Great body and mouthfeel medium to dark roasted, creamy, or buttery textured per se. Dark roasts themselves turn a little bittersweet and roasty, but with the full body and tea like spice, was still a very tasty roast point.

A good cup from light to dark but to showcase what makes these beans special, light to medium roasts will be the way to go. Light roast points are very jazzy with stronger citric/floral acidity mixing with a little soft fruit tone, pulling some balance with a sweet edged nuttiness. With the red fruit and more citric components, it makes us think pink lemonade upfront, but some were more down the tart raspberry alley. Medium roasts get fuller bodied and smoother, good nutty/chocolate like undertones with less crisp citric/floral acidity. Darker roasts will kill most of the brightness but will retain a little hint of fruit as the cup cools. Much more chocolaty and robust at the darker roast points, potent brew, can have a little stout like bitter aftertaste but will hit the tongue on the sweeter side.Price: $8.99/lbPrice: $8.99 -

A great example of a Huila coffee. A strong medium roast is where this coffee shines. A little citric lemony acidity upfront, a hint of a tart red fruit balanced with a nice smooth and thicker chocolaty tone with a hint of nuttiness in the aftertaste. A nice, smooth buttery textured cup almost anyone will love. Lighter roasts bring out more acidity but present more of a complex spice noted cup, a few almost thought it to be an African, interesting but didn’t quite shine like it did at fuller roasts. Great from light to dark! A stellar traditional Huila coffee, fuller bodied with a more buttery mouthfeel, jazzed up with some floral acidity, a sweet edge and hints of soft fruit at lighter roasts. Huila coffees are known for their fuller bodied and smooth more buttery mouthfeel, these beans are a great example. Lovely toasted walnut base tones that turns pretty chocolaty into the darker roasts. The acidity can be a little strong at the light roast points bringing into play a citrus and floral front end that keeps it a bit on the crisp sweeter side. The classic Colombian nuttiness comingles with hints of a black tea like spice giving the cup some great depth of flavor. Medium roasts roasts are smooth with just a pinch of a citric crispness upfront. Darker roasts are full of bakers chocolate notes, more semi-sweet smoky with nutty accents. The spice will linger on the tongue in the aftertaste. Great bean for cold brew or espresso, but works for a classic Colombian drip brew as well.

Tasty from light to dark! Clean and semi-exotic for a Colombian, a cup everyone should love! Lighter roasting is a showy cup, pretty acidic; sweet floral with hints of red-fruit, a bit front loaded with brighter notes but if you’re a fan of such cups, it will impress. A couple tasters here noted pink lemonade at light roasts, which is not hard to see. Medium roasts balanced the cup much better, some hints of a nutty/caramel tones mixing with with a little floral and fruity front end. A lovely example of a Geisha coffee. Best roasted from light to medium, all it will take is one sniff and you will know you have something more exotic. Jasmine/floral/sweet aromatics sing right out once you grind the beans. Lighter roasting is where it’s at, very clean and higher acidity, very floral with hints of a soft fruit tone and a sweet edge. All the lovely lighter tones balance with black tea like spice with hints of more classic Colombian nuttiness in the aftertaste. Medium roasts mute up some of the acidity which some will love but also mutes some of the more “Gesha” like attributes, still exotic and very tasty, fuller bodied with hints of what makes this cup so special. A bit on the brighter side, there is some lemony crispness upfront that adds a lot of sweetness, balancing with a more chocolaty cup profile with added hints of nuttiness. As one pushes the roast darker, the acidity and crispness gets much milder, right around second crack, smooth and creamy but already picking up more roasty notes.
