A new crop Brazil arrival!
The aroma is very nutty and sweet. There was a surprising hint of smoke on the palate. Full bodied and low acidity – this is a traditional tasting Brazil – thick, creamy, nutty and semi-sweet. At the darker roasts a very sweet first taste, almost a little fruity, and then quickly turns darker-toned with a bakers chocolate and slightly toasted walnut flavor. Great blend base for espresso or adding body with darker tones although many will love it as an single origin drinker.Price:Price: Original price was: $7.75.$6.49Current price is: $6.49.$7.75/lb$6.49/lb -

Grown in the highlands bordering the Kibira rainforest at an altitude of 1,760 to 2,000 meters, this washed lot, produced under the expert care of the Long Miles Coffee Project, offers a structured and comforting cup profile. It moves away from the sharp acidity typical of the region to deliver a creamy, full-bodied coffee. Rich notes of dark chocolate and sweet caramel stand out, complemented by complex, savory nuances reminiscent of fresh garden herbs or gentle botanical spices. This versatile and easy-to-roast coffee is ideally roasted to a medium to balance its depth and sweetness, though lighter roasts will reveal crisp citrus and nutty undertones.

Wonderful Daily Drinker!
The aroma of this coffee is very nice; sweet with with a little spice & floral notes. Best at a medium to borderline dark roast. Sweet upfront with a hint of crispness balanced with a stronger toasted walnut/chocolaty undertone. A little hint of acidity at the medium roast point really creates a nicely balanced cup with a broad flavor profile. Touching 2nd crack builds some body and will add some smoky and roasty notes that can compliment the classic Colombian profile.

A super clean lot from the Congo; Amazing considering all the trouble this year in the Kivu; beautiful prep on these beans. We thought best around the medium roast level but works well from light to dark. Great floral and soft fruit tones upfront with a bit of brightness, not too overwhelming or potent like some Africans, delicate sweetness balanced with a little chocolaty spice. Smooth with almost a brown sugar hint at a strong medium roast. Pretty much everyone will love this coffee, a great everyday drinker. Strong savory with panela and burnt sugar flavors. Juicy acidity and sugary sweetness.

A very fresh and tasty Costa! Costa Ricans are known for their more sweet and floral acidity, often balancing with nutty and chocolate like undertones. This is a small holder aggregate production, so not a single farm, but masterful blend of small lots which by blending, create a high end regional example. Larger bean screen, very low defects with tastes to match the appearance.
Costa Rica’s Central Valley is widely considered the heart of the country’s coffee industry, shaped by high elevations, steady weather patterns, and volcanic soils that have supported coffee farming for generations. Coffee has been part of Costa Rica’s economic story since the late 1700s, and by the 1820s it had become a major agricultural export.

Lighter roasts can show just a hint of grassy but will still make an interesting cup with more fruit, nuttiness and sweetness to go along with it.

A very clean, fuller bodied, smooth and chocolaty cup. A lower acidity offering that’s hard to tell its a decaf. The stronger chocolate undertones mix very well with the floral sweetness on top to create a lovely balance. Lighter roasts were interesting, pulls a bit of sweet green tea like spice, but for most Central American fans, shooting a bit fuller and creating a more chocolaty cup will be the way to go.

Low acidity, smooth body, and a clean, mellow sweetness. Best from medium to dark roasts. Primary cues of baker’s chocolate and cedar/soft spice, with a round, calmly sweet finish Monsoon character minus the caffeine “edge.” As roast deepens, expect more cocoa/wood and a touch of malt. Unlike its caffeinated cousin, there is some earthiness but its not over the top, the decaf monsooned is more rich and chocolate/earth with some lingering spice.

A very nice light to dark roast decaf. Lighter roasts are sweeter and more delicate, a little unique spice with a bit of nuttiness and just a pinch of floral. Medium roasts are a smoother cup, a little sweet edge, nutty, with a touch of chocolate. Has a little floral overtone that makes it a bit interesting. Fuller bodied with a richer chocolate tone closer to 2nd crack. Some smokiness at second crack or into but retains its smooth and rich character. Decaf Mexican is always one of my favorite beans to get a nice and strong chocolaty note in the decafs. Lower acidity and fuller bodied, pretty hefty in its semi sweet bakers chocolate tone at fuller roasts.

A great clean decaf coffee! Good from light to dark. Lighter roasting will show a little lemony crispness, rare for a decaf. Sweeter edged with a little herbal chocolate contrast. Medium roasts cut out most of the lemony crispness and rid the cup of its herbal edge. Smooth and rich, medium bodied, with a more pronounced chocolate tone; a bit floral and sweet in the aromatics, adds to the drinking experience but doesn’t come through in the tastes. Darker roasts are robust and strong, semi-sweet and very chocolaty with a roasty edge.

Good from light to dark but we thought best at a strong medium to dark roast. A good bean to go after a rich and semi-exotic chocolate tone with some wonderful aromatics and a bit of spice. Light roasts are more citric and floral with wonderful aromatics and a sweet edged, a bit punchy in the citric department and contrasts with a bit of nutty/herbal/grassy undertones. Works well but needs a much longer setup time bring out smooth and clean tastes, sharp and grassy/herbal if drank too soon. Medium roasts will bring some lovely balance to the cup and provides a clean tasting brew without waiting a week to drink it. One starts seeing the chocolate aspect but will still pull some balance with the citric and floral. Less aromatic than the light roasts, but you can still tell you have a nice Ethiopian with one sniff. Darker roasts touching or into second crack are real robust, strong and semi-sweet, more bakers-chocolate like with tea like spice in the aftertaste.

Awesome cup this season, good from light to dark. Darker roasts which are more traditional for Haitian coffee, come off robust and strong with a floral islandy sweet edge and a smoky aftertaste. Bigger bodied and on the chocolaty spicy side of things. Being a little cleaner, this cup is very good at light to medium roasts as well; sweet with a more nutty/caramel tone, can come off a little herbal too light so tread lightly. A little acidity but not enough to push folks away. A lovely daily drinking cup. Heavier bodied and lower acidity, semi-sweet hints of floral and caramel, balanced with a nice strong earthier chocolate note. We thought best from medium to dark roasts but works from light to dark. A clean, sweet and smooth daily drinking cup! A little fuller bodied at the light-medium roast level with a great balance between the slight winy/floral notes & nutty/malty darker tones. Similar to Guatemalan coffee. Some acidity at lighter roasts but just a hint, medium to dark roasts would be marked as low acidity. As one pushes it into the medium roast range, the very sweet nutty tones come off a bit caramel like. Still plenty malty, it will linger on the tongue. Dark roasts turn pretty strong with the sweeter malty cup profile mixing nicely with smoky and roasty notes.

Great from light to dark. Light roasts will show great depth of flavor and produce a very clean cup. Some acidity, which brings lemony and floral tones to the front end of the tastes, balances them with a sweet edged nutty/malty undertone, hints of a vegetal spice. As one pushes the roast a little darker, the body increases, as the acidity and vegetal spice dissipated. Made for a very lovely daily drinker in the medium roast range; sweet, smooth & complex. Pushing the beans darker, the citric and floral acidity drops nicely to a crisp hint or none at all, the malty tones can turn quite robust as you approach or touch 2nd crack. Best at light roast points. Very sweet, clean, delicate and floral coffee. Hints of sweet citric and soft fruit comingle with a very floral cup profile, pulls a little balance with a darker chocolate/malty/tea-like undertone. A lovely & fresh coffee, our first new crop Peru. Best from medium to dark roasts, a good daily drinker. Medium to low acidity, with a thicker body and mouthfeel. A wonderful more chocolaty cup than shows some nuttiness. Lighter roasting will show just a pinch of citric, which provides nice depth of flavor but be a little careful ligher, too light will show some grassy/herbal tones. Medium roasts and beyond produce a smooth and rich cup, more chocolaty than nutty, pulls a peanut brittle like tone (some may say hint of caramel), not quite candy like, more peanut than brittle but we all thought it to be a good descriptor. Dark roasts turns the cup pretty chocolaty, retains the sweet edge and a couple even noticed a little floral hint to it.

This Tanzania North FAQ Plus lot comes from northern Tanzania (Kilimanjaro area) and is produced mostly by smallholder farmers; it’s graded PB (peaberry), a natural mutation where the cherry develops one small, round seed instead of two, and it’s sorted separately (typically ~5–12% of the harvest). It’s a washed coffee grown at 1200–1900 masl, and the listed “variety” is a regional blend including Blue Mountain, Bourbon, Kilimanjaro, Luwiro, and other local types. In the cup you can expect a gentle almond-and-caramel sweetness up front, medium (sometimes slightly fuller) body, mild balanced acidity, and a shift toward floral notes; roasted a bit darker, it leans more into spice, chocolate, and cocoa with a smooth, lingering finish.

Best at a medium to dark roast: bigger bodied and darker toned. Clean and delicate cup with subtle floral tones on a cocoa/chocolate base. Gentle sweetness and medium citric acidity reminiscent of mandarin; very balanced profile. In lighter roasts, citrus-floral nuances with a slight herbal/vegetal undertone may emerge. With medium roasts, it becomes rounder with spiced chocolate; in dark roasts, “baker’s chocolate” cocoa predominates, with a heavier body and very low acidity. Medium roasts are where we thought it shined, just a small hint of citric sweetness upfront with a good balance of spicy chocolate notes, unique spice, more like the Indian coffees. Darker roasts get more like the Dominican with strong bakers chocolate and smoky tones, a hefty cup with very low acidity.

The listed variety is Timor Hybrid a naturally occurring Arabica × Robusta cross first identified in Timor in the 1920s, widely known for its rust resistance used in many Arabica breeding lines. In the cup it’s sweet, comforting, and clean, led by plum over a base of almond, caramel, and chocolate, with a smooth, well-rounded profile and gentle sweetness rather than sharp acidity. For roasting, it’s described as easy to work with: light-to-medium keeps the fruity sweetness while building caramel/nut tones, while darker roasts push it toward caramelized sugar and toast just watch development after first crack so you don’t lose the fruit and complexity.

Medium to dark roast beans & a great daily drinker! This cup is very thick and creamy, filled with semi-sweet chocolate and nutty tones. A very easy to drink coffee. A hint of soft fruit can be seen at the light to medium roasts but pretty faint, not super noticeable until the cup cools. A bit of peppery spice at the darker roasts with some complimenting roasty and smoky tones. Lighter roasts will show some lemony acidity and can accentuate the fruitiness of the cup but often will come off a bit too dry. These beans are more about the creamy fuller bodied and smooth chocolate and nutty tones which will come out from medium roasts and beyond.
