A very nicely balanced cup of coffee. A little hint of acidity upfront providing some floral and soft fruit at the lighter roasts, balanced with a semi-sweet nutty chocolaty factor. Super light roasts risk a little grassy/herbal but it straightens out at a city+ (medium) and holds up as dark as you want to take it. The darker you go, the more body and edgy chocolate the cup will pick up, once you hit 2nd crack, expect some smoke and roasty tones to compliment the nutty/chocolaty factor.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.39.$7.39Current price is: $7.39.$8.39/lb$7.39/lb -

A very fresh and tasty Brazil! Lighter roasts show lemon, floral & soft fruit contrasted by a nuttier (almond like) undertone, a sweet edged cup. The two combine for a hints of caramel, quite tasty for you light roast fans. Medium roasts are richer, more of a developed chocolaty tone and decently less nutty; mutes up the soury floral edge, retains a little hint of soft fruit as the cup cools. Fairly neutral tasting and very chuggable. Darker promotes a thicker body and introduces a slightly bitter contrast that works very well for espresso.

Great cup from light to dark roasts. We liked it best on the lighter side of a medium roast, good shot at a hint of caramel (sweet and nutty) in the cup. Hints of citric acidity comingle with a nutty/caramel like tone with a sweet edge, reminiscent of a nice Honduran coffee. Clean cup, a bit brighter with a pinch of soft fruit at the lighter roasts, the contrasting nuttiness can come off a bit dry but smooths out with a longer setup. Much more chocolaty at the darker roasts with a noticeable increase in the body of the cup, still very sweet with a bit of roasty nuttiness in the aftertaste.Price:Price: Original price was: $7.99.$6.79Current price is: $6.79.$7.99/lb$6.79/lb -

This coffee stands out for its exceptional quality and cleanliness in every cup. Within its profile, you can discover a range of flavors depending on the roast level. In a light roast, it presents a medium body and reveals an aromatic profile that combines delicate notes of caramel and walnut, intense floral undertones, and vibrant citrus hints of orange. Additionally, its profile is enriched with herbal characteristics and subtle spicy notes, adding complexity and an inviting aroma. Opting for a medium roast enhances its structure while maintaining the purity that defines it. Chocolate notes become more pronounced, complemented by a subtle hint of lemon, while the existing walnut notes remain distinct, even as the coffee cools, ensuring a consistent and balanced experience. This profile also brings out a vibrant acidity that perfectly balances the natural sweetness. For those who prefer a more concentrated flavor profile, a dark roast delivers a robust and bold body, where deep chocolate notes stand out, accompanied by a subtle touch of black tea. It maintains a moderate acidity and exceptional cleanliness, ensuring a refined and full-bodied experience.

A fresh and clean arrival: best from medium to dark roasts. Lower acidity, fuller bodied, semi-sweet with a stronger more spicy cup profile. The classic Colombian nuttiness comingles with hints of a black tea like spice giving the cup some great depth of flavor. Medium roasts roasts are smooth with just a pinch of a citric crispness upfront. Darker roasts are full of bakers chocolate notes, more semi-sweet smoky with nutty accents. The spice will linger on the tongue in the aftertaste. Great bean for cold brew or espresso, but works for a classic Colombian drip brew as well.

The aroma is floral and sweet like honey. A nice medium bodied, smooth & creamy cup of coffee with little stronger floral aspect, medium to low acidity. It does get a good lemongrass tone at lighter roasts with a soft fruit tone as the cup cools, crisper cup with a slight nutty tone. Turns much more chocolaty into the medium or dark roasts. A great clean decaf coffee! Good from light to dark. Lighter roasting will show a little lemony crispness, rare for a decaf. Sweeter edged with a little herbal chocolate contrast. Medium roasts cut out most of the lemony crispness and rid the cup of its herbal edge. Smooth and rich, medium bodied, with a more pronounced chocolate tone; a bit floral and sweet in the aromatics, adds to the drinking experience but doesn’t come through in the tastes. Darker roasts are robust and strong, semi-sweet and very chocolaty with a roasty edge.

This is not a super fruity natural, would be considered a darker toned, lower acidity, chocolaty cup. One can tell its natural processed roots with its sweetness and thickness and its Ethiopian roots with highlights of spice & fruity/floral notes throughout the roast range. Best served in the light to medium roast range for drip brew for it will show its best balance and promote a hint of fruity/floral. Turns into a chocolate bomb at the darker roasts, more on the dark chocolate side, which would work wonderfully for espresso or cold brew. A beautiful cup at the lighter roast points. Mild mannered comparatively to the Mosto processed lot, this bean is much more delicate, a bit lower acidity with a little more emphasis on the floral and stone fruit notes. Being a high rated bean, it is very clean (good) tasting at light roasts, which we thought presented it best. There is a little darker toned contrast at light roasts, hints of a chocolaty factor comingle with the fruitiness. Incredibly smooth and well defined cup at lighter than normal roast levels is what puts these beans into a category of its own.

A lovely coffee. Low acidity, medium body with rich and robust darker tones ringing throughout the cup. Medium to dark roasts are where these beans shine. Lighter roasting without much acidity will leave the cup a bit nutty and lacking but clean. Starting at about a medium roast the cup builds a wonderful chocolate note with some smoky and malty overtones. A bit on the sweeter smoother side, a tasty treat. Darker roasts, close to touching 2nd crack and where the much more robust tones pop out of the cup, reminiscent of a nice Haitian cigar.

Awesome cup this season, good from light to dark. Darker roasts which are more traditional for Haitian coffee, come off robust and strong with a floral islandy sweet edge and a smoky aftertaste. Bigger bodied and on the chocolaty spicy side of things. Being so clean this cup is great at light to medium roasts as well; hints of lemony floral, crisp, sweet with a more nutty/caramel tone. A little acidity but not enough to push folks away. A lovely daily drinking cup.

A very rich, strong and smooth cup. A cousin to Sumatra or Sulawesi coffee; Blue Moon always is a bit smoother without as much peaty earthiness, or swampy fruit. A sweeter cup for an Indo with malt, chocolate with a little traditional earthy terroir of the wet-hulled Indonesians. Fuller bodied, a little hint of acidity at a medium roast, a definite go to for our strong-medium or dark roasts here at Burman Coffee. Pulls some molasses undertones as ones pushes into second crack roasts. Hints of slight smoky tone at darker roast.

A great cup from light to dark: a clean, rich and smooth cup. To see it shine and differentiate itself from normal Indonesians, keep it in the light to medium roast ballpark. Just a hint of brightness upfront, sugarcane like sweetness, good body with a chocolate like lingering aftertaste. It does have a little earthy terroir, but is almost more playing on some spice notes than traditional Indonesian “muddiness”. Darker roasts are pretty hefty cups, still overly sweet but more simple in its taste, chocolate and spice like with some complimenting roasty notes. Darker roasts would work very well for espresso or cold brew, while lighter roasts would excel for drip or pour over.

Always one of our favorite Mexican coffees. Good from light to dark. Although Natural processed, this is not a fruit bomb like many other natural processed coffees, has slightly fruity overtones that balance great with some citric, malt and nutty undertones. Its a little fuller bodied cup than most Terruno lots with well above average sweetness. Lighter roasting will have noticeable citric crispness upfront and will accentuate the fruitiness. Medium roasts balance the tones nicely and smooth out (reduce) the citric brightness. Darker roasts turn much more chocolaty and get pretty roasty and smoky, retains a sweet edge and shows hints of fruitiness as the cup cools. A good daily drinker across the roast levels.

Most would call it a pretty sweet chocolaty cup with a bit of spice. Very smooth cupping this year with minimal herbal tones or earthiness. Medium bodied with a sweeter edge, a cup almost anyone would enjoy. Kind of like a Sumatra coffee without all the earthy funk. Best served in the medium to dark roast levels but some will find joy at lighter roast points with a longer setup.

The boldest tasting of the three peaberries, still silky smooth and clean tasting, fuller bodied with a creamy mouthfeel but with a bit of sweet spice in the cup. Lower acidity chocolaty cup profile with a sweet edge. We liked it best from a medium to dark roast, but with a little longer setup, light roast fans can find joy with these beans. Definitely a chocolaty cup profile with some stronger nutty and herbal/spice accents. If you roast before 2nd crack, which is preferred, one can balance in a hint of soft fruit acidity (similar to the Sigri) into the mix which is a big plus to the depth of flavor. Cup starts sweet at lighter roasts but will turn semi-sweet as you pushing into medium or dark roasts.

In general, the more neutral offering out of the three, smooth, big bodied & creamy with semi-sweet chocolate notes, nutty accents and a bit of lingering spice in the aftertaste. Lighter roasting will show hints of acidity, a sweeter almond/nougat/brown-sugar comingling with more herbal spice notes. Medium roasting gets the fuller body and more chocolate/malt with hints of spice. Darker roasting gets hefty bakers chocolate note with complimenting roasty-ness. Lower acidity cup overall but will show some crisp citric notes at lighter roasts, some floral characteristics as well. A little roasty/smoky tone into second crack but it will compliment the more chocolaty and nutty profile. A nice medium roast for drip brew, darker for espresso and cold brew. Lighter roasting will show some stronger citric acidity comingling with stronger herbal notes, a hint of chocolate, good depth of flavors but will be a bit sharp and herbal for most. Medium roasting gets the fuller body and more chocolaty toned cup with a hint of spice, unlike the other two, this will still have a little hint of citric, leaving it a bit sweeter tasting. Darker roasting gets hefty bakers chocolate note with complimenting roasty notes, no signs of the brighter cup profile at lighter roasts. A great year for Peru coffees; the cup starts just a little citric, fairly low acidity only detectable at the lighter roast points, a little hint of soft fruit but mainly a pretty chocolaty cup profile with some nutty accents. Lighter roasts one can find a hint of caramel if you get lucky, and leans on the nuttier side, little citric will poke out. A nice medium roast will make anyone happy and provide good balance and smooth chocolate tones, low acidity – a good daily drinker. A cool cup from medium to dark. There are some sweet island floral tones upfront at the lighter roasts, a sweet edge with unique spice; somewhere between a woody cinnamon to more peppery/clove. Wonderful aromatics accompany lighter roasts but could be a little too grassy/sharp for some. Medium roasts are more chocolaty, balancing with the spice nicely, less woody, more bold semi-sweet clove like spice. Darker roasts get smooth and creamy retaining those exotic spice notes to compliment the roasty and smoky darker chocolate cup.Price:Price: Original price was: $21.99.$20.79Current price is: $20.79.$21.99/lb$20.79/lb -

We thought best served in the medium roast range but will be tasty from light to dark: a very sweet cup at any roast point. Lighter roasts have some stronger citric/floral acidity, a little hint of a grape-skin like fruitiness and a spiced (herbal) chocolate undertone. Medium roasts build a much creamier cup profile, just a hint of crisp floral upfront that fades into a strawberry like fruitiness balanced with a spicier chocolate dark tone. Dark roasts themselves are a bit flat but still very sweet edged, hardly fruity but makes up for it with the fuller bodied more robust chocolate and spice notes.

Rich and chocolaty, Tanz coffee is always high on our go to list for stronger chocolaty darker roast coffee. At the medium roasts one will see a more gentle cup with good body, a little sweeter edge, hints of acidity and stronger chocolaty spice. Darker roasts get much fuller bodied and bring out the very strong bakers chocolate edge balancing nicely with classic African spice note and complimenting roasty/smoky tones. Lighter roasts will show crisp lemony acidity with more of a caramel/chocolate spin but can be pretty sharp.

Best at a medium to dark roast: bigger bodied and darker toned. Lighter roasts will show some nice clean lemony floral acidity but do not fully develop the nice robust chocolaty factor, interestingly enough, one gets a bit of African herbal/spice in the cup at the lighter roasts. Medium roasts are where we thought it shined, just a small hint of citric sweetness upfront with a good balance of spicy chocolate notes, unique spice, more like the Indian coffees. Darker roasts get more like the Dominican with strong bakers chocolate and smoky tones, a hefty cup with very low acidity.

A nice and clean taste, good from light to dark. Mostly these beans will appeal to medium-dark roast fans but being an exceptionally clean cup, it has some lovely balance and is quite tasty at lighter roasts. Similar to its Indonesian cousins (except washed processed), it gets real hefty into the dark roasts promoting smoky and chocolaty tones with stronger spice notes. Lighter roasting it is more delicate and floral, slightly fruity with some detectable lemony crispness, sweet edged, medium bodied with hints of a chocolaty factor.
