Low Stock Blowout! Only 19 pounds left
A good cup from light to dark. Smooth but on the stronger side. Lighter roasts are crisp and clean with some delicate lemony floral tones upfront that quickly get dominated by stronger chocolate and spice notes. Not overdone with the spice in this cup but you will not be able to miss it comparatively to the super clean AA currently on the list. Medium roasts bring a thicker and smoother cup, reducing the acidity to just a hint. Darker roasts turn strong and semi-sweet, a potent cup once you hit second crack.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.89.$7.59Current price is: $7.59.$8.89/lb$7.59/lb -

A very fun cup to play with roast level. Very clean allowing for stand up lighter roasts but be a little warned, light roasts will have a strong crisp lemony floral brightness upfront, that will be the dominate tone. Medium roasts mellow out the lemony acidity and bring forth a bit of a soft fruit tone balancing with hints of a chocolate spice note, a cup everyone will start loving. Pushing towards 2nd crack really mutes up most of the acidity and the cup gets a little thicker and much more chocolaty, still a crisp sweet tone upfront. Darker roasts get pretty bakers chocolaty with some roasty smoky notes.Price:Price: Original price was: $7.55.$6.20Current price is: $6.20.$7.55/lb$6.20/lb -

Only 10 Pounds Left! Full bodied, spicy and exotic, a great example of a Kenyan coffee at a wonderful price. One sip will let you see what makes Kenya beans so different and special. Hints of acidity balanced with strong black tea spice. Lower acidity than the AA and best from a medium to dark roast. Lighter roasts accentuate the acidity in the cup but can leave the cup a bit more herbal. Medium roasts move the acidity to the background and greatly accentuate the spicy chocolaty notes in the cup. Dark roasts become very stout like and strong, bakers chocolate and spice with low acidity.

A very clean, exotic and balanced cup of coffee. Although still considered a higher acidity cup, this offering is more about the fuller body and complex darker tones. Especially at lighter roasts, one will see a more citric style acidity, comingling with a green tea like spice, clean as a whistle, but may be a little sharp for some. Medium roasts bring a more potent chocolaty cup with some floral highlights, lingering spice in the aftertaste. Darker roasts get much thicker and semi-sweet, would put in on the bakers chocolate side of things with some soft fruit and spice lingering on the tongue, a little smoky if you go real dark.

A clean, fresh and bright Kenya coffee. Light to dark this will make a tasty cup. Full of citric and floral tones with small hints of a fruitiness, good body with some buzzy acidity that will tingle your tongue. Lighter roasts do have some lemony goodness but it’s crisp and defined, not quite mouth puckering. Hints of black tea spice with a small herbal chocolaty factor are present even at lighter roasting and balance out the cup nicely. Sweet edged with some hints of a fruity factor between the lemony floral front end and chocolaty herbal spice undertones. Medium roasts and smooth and accentuate the chocolaty factor, muting up most of the acidity, a very easy to drink cup. Darker roasts were equally as tasty and drinkable, retains it sweet edge and was not too roasty.

A strong cup good from light to dark. Lighter roasts are pretty acidic, lemony with a grapefruit like overtone. Some would consider light roasts a bit too front loaded with the brightness but many Kenya fans love those sharp soury floral fruity tones, this cup will not disappoint. Right at first crack one does risk a little grassy but even a city + roast bring a very clean cup with defined acidity and balance. Medium roasts are where most should start, wonderful chocolaty spice notes with hints of a grapefruit like acidity, still a potent cup but will smooth out with a couple day setup. Darker roasts really pull some strong bakers chocolate, touching or into 2nd crack mutes up most of the acidity but one will still notice some floral tones especially in the aromatics. Stout like, semi-sweet and full of potent chocolaty spice and smoky tones.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.60.$7.30Current price is: $7.30.$8.60/lb$7.30/lb -

Like most stand-up lots, this coffee holds the lighter roasts very nicely but will have strong acidity – light roasts will only be for those who love the Kenyan acidity. As one slows down the roast or pushed more to the medium mark, the cup balances out better yet still provides an exotic cup with clearly present acidity. The brighter tones will burn out around 2nd crack but the potency of the cup will only increase into the dark roasts.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.19.$6.84Current price is: $6.84.$8.19/lb$6.84/lb -

New Crop!
A shining example of Kenya coffee. Good from light to dark, but keep it light to see this top lot shine. Bright and complex at lighter roasts but super clean and balanced. Somewhat fruity with a bit higher acidity promoting the citric, floral and red fruit tones. The jazzy lighter tones pull balance with spice, nutty, caramel, and chocolate like tastes. Medium roasts get a bit less extreme and smoother, not as citric, building a bigger bodied darker tone. If you don’t like higher acidity, this is where to start with your roasts. Darker roasts have there place, but will kills some of what separates this cup from “average” Kenya. Strong and semi-sweet, think bakers chocolate with herbal accents. A little smoky and roasty but presents nicely for a more exotic dark roast.Price: $9.65/lb - 8.45/lbPrice: $9.65 -

A lovely example of Kenya coffee. Good from light to dark, we recommend a nice medium roast to showcase it. Very bright, punchy and complex at lighter roasts, a bit front loaded with citric/floral but very clean with some balance. A bit hoppy some will say with some spice notes popping out. The lighter tones will pull some balance with a semi-sweet chocolate edge but easily overpowered by the higher acidity when light roasted. Medium roasts build much better balance between the acidity (citric/floral/fruit) and the dark tones (nutty/cocoa/spice) making it less blasty of a cup, easier to drink all day. If you don’t like higher acidity, this is where to start with your roasts. Darker roasts have there place, but will kill some of what separates this cup from “average” Kenyan. Strong and semi-sweet, think bakers chocolate with herbal accents. A little smoky and roasty but presents nicely for a more exotic dark roast.Price: $8.99/lb - 7.79/lbPrice: $8.99 -

A very clean, exotic and balanced cup of coffee. Kenyan coffees are known for their acidity and spice tones; this cup hit the classic Kenyan cup profile on the head without being overwhelming like some (very balanced in its tones). Not quite sizzling but a very noticeable lemony floral tone upfront at the light to medium roast points balanced with some herbal spice and fading into a nice chocolaty tone that lingers on the tongue. Light roasts will swing the balance towards the floral citric side, darker roasts more towards the jazzy bakers chocolate alley. Holds up into 2nd crack for you dark roast fans. Low acidity and strong bittersweet chocolate tones with the traditional Kenyan spice note that leaves a very smoky tone on the pallet.

Works well from light to dark, our favorite roast was in the medium ballpark. Clean, rich and exotic, a coffee you cannot mistake for anything else; a great example of the classic Kenya profile. Punch acidity with strong more herbal chocolate undertones.
Lighter roasting gets very front loaded with buzzy acidity, not intense citrus but will leave your mouth very dry, a bit floral in the aromatics, medium to full bodied with strong herbal notes that lean on the chocolaty/malty side.
Medium roasts smooth out the cup and bring better balance between light and dark tones, pops out a lemony floral crispness upfront contrasting the thicker tea like herbal tones. Leaves a linger semi-sweet malt tone on the tongue.
Dark roasts get some roasty notes mixing in, will still will have hints of buzzy acidity but mute some of the spice notes, accentuates the strong semi-sweet malt note.

Great cup from light to dark. While roasting the samples for the evaluation table we nailed the light roast, a bit too light, ending the roast while first crack was still happening, surprisingly it turned out excellent, a rare bean to be this tasty and developed around a blonde roast. Light roast themselves are crisp and clean, a bit of raised acidity, comes off pretty lemony, a balanced cup with mostly chocolaty with classic Kenya herbal characteristics, just a hint of nuttiness in the aftertaste. Sweet edge to those light roasts and a well defined cup.
Medium roasts reduce the acidity a bit, just a hint in the cup, smooth and stronger chocolate tones with some more exotic herbal spice, a bit mellow compared to many Kenyas but one you can drink all day! Darker roasts get pretty punchy, strong bakers chocolate and smoke with those classic spice notes popping out. A mellow super clean cup up until the dark roasts, which can get pretty potent tasting.

A cup everyone should love! A perfect example of Kenya coffee. Great cup at lighter roasts, a bit sizzling with higher acidity, awesome depth of flavor. Comes off very lemony/floral with a nice raspberry like accent, balanced with a clean almost green tea (spice) like undertone. A little hint of caramel can be found but is pretty easily overpowered by the acidity or spice depending on your roast curve. As the beans roast darker, a chocolaty factor will appear & overpower the brighter notes flipping the main tones of the cup. Strong chocolate spice, just a hint of floral/fruity/citric. Accentuates the body of the cup turning it much fuller. The darker you go, the less bright the cup gets, but no roasting the crispness out of this cup!

A great very balanced and clean Kenya coffee. Lighter roasts will show stronger signs of buzzy citric acidity with some hints of the classic spicy (slight tea like herbal) chocolate notes. Pushing to a medium roast will greatly reduce the acidity in the cup but still give a very buzzy mouthfeel. Medium bodied and smooth with lots of exotic hints popping out in the cup to let you know its a Kenyan coffee. Darker roasts get much stronger, considered a delicate cup until you hit 2nd crack which will add a full body and more bittersweet dark tones with some excellent depth of flavor.Price: $8.49/lb - 7.14/lbPrice: $8.49
