A very fresh and tasty Brazil! Lighter roasts show lemon, floral & soft fruit contrasted by a nuttier (almond like) undertone, a sweet edged cup. The two combine for a hints of caramel, quite tasty for you light roast fans. Medium roasts are richer, more of a developed chocolaty tone and decently less nutty; mutes up the soury floral edge, retains a little hint of soft fruit as the cup cools. Fairly neutral tasting and very chuggable. Darker promotes a thicker body and introduces a slightly bitter contrast that works very well for espresso.

Great cup from light to dark roasts. We liked it best on the lighter side of a medium roast, good shot at a hint of caramel (sweet and nutty) in the cup. Hints of citric acidity comingle with a nutty/caramel like tone with a sweet edge, reminiscent of a nice Honduran coffee. Clean cup, a bit brighter with a pinch of soft fruit at the lighter roasts, the contrasting nuttiness can come off a bit dry but smooths out with a longer setup. Much more chocolaty at the darker roasts with a noticeable increase in the body of the cup, still very sweet with a bit of roasty nuttiness in the aftertaste.

The classic Colombian nuttiness comingles with hints of a black tea like spice giving the cup some great depth of flavor. Medium roasts roasts are smooth with just a pinch of a citric crispness upfront. Darker roasts are full of bakers chocolate notes, more semi-sweet smoky with nutty accents. The spice will linger on the tongue in the aftertaste. Great bean for cold brew or espresso, but works for a classic Colombian drip brew as well.

A great clean decaf coffee! Good from light to dark. Lighter roasting will show a little lemony crispness, rare for a decaf. Sweeter edged with a little herbal chocolate contrast. Medium roasts cut out most of the lemony crispness and rid the cup of its herbal edge. Smooth and rich, medium bodied, with a more pronounced chocolate tone; a bit floral and sweet in the aromatics, adds to the drinking experience but doesn’t come through in the tastes. Darker roasts are robust and strong, semi-sweet and very chocolaty with a roasty edge.

On the lighter roast spectrum there is a little jazzy citric note that presents the cup a little sweeter, on the darker roast spectrums it will have some roasty and smoky notes that we found quite pleasant.

This is not a super fruity natural, would be considered a darker toned, lower acidity, chocolaty cup. One can tell its natural processed roots with its sweetness and thickness and its Ethiopian roots with highlights of spice & fruity/floral notes throughout the roast range. Best served in the light to medium roast range for drip brew for it will show its best balance and promote a hint of fruity/floral. Turns into a chocolate bomb at the darker roasts, more on the dark chocolate side, which would work wonderfully for espresso or cold brew. Lighter roasts have a pinch of citric acidity and wonderful aromatics, hints of red fruit that balance with a bit of semi-nutty tea like spice.

We would avoid super light roasts, blooms into a well defined treat at city+ to full city+ roast levels. Wonderful aromatics and a nice floral tone without too much citric in the cup. Medium roasts produce a nice and chocolaty cup with floral highlights and a sweet edge, hints of tea like spice in the aftertaste. Smooth, balanced and rich cup with exotic highlights. Darker roasts are less smooth but even more chocolaty, a bit semi-sweet with some complimenting roasty attributes and stronger tea like spice notes. A lovely coffee. Low acidity, medium body with rich and robust darker tones ringing throughout the cup. Medium to dark roasts are where these beans shine. Lighter roasting without much acidity will leave the cup a bit nutty and lacking but clean. Starting at about a medium roast the cup builds a wonderful chocolate note with some smoky and malty overtones. A bit on the sweeter smoother side, a tasty treat. Darker roasts, close to touching 2nd crack and where the much more robust tones pop out of the cup, reminiscent of a nice Haitian cigar.

Bigger bodied and on the chocolaty spicy side of things. Being so clean this cup is great at light to medium roasts as well; hints of lemony floral, crisp, sweet with a more nutty/caramel tone. A little acidity but not enough to push folks away. A lovely daily drinking cup.

Besides a chocolaty factor one will get some nutty/caramel/floral like tones at the medium roast points, gives it some nice complimenting depth without being too exotic. We all thought it was at its best right around a full city – smooth without too much of a roasty note and great chocolaty tones.

A sweeter cup for an Indo with malt, chocolate with a little traditional earthy terroir of the wet-hulled Indonesians. Fuller bodied, a little hint of acidity at a medium roast, a definite go to for our strong-medium or dark roasts here at Burman Coffee. Pulls some molasses undertones as ones pushes into second crack roasts. Hints of slight smoky tone at darker roast.

A very clean traditional Sumatra cup. Best from medium to dark roasts. Fuller bodied with some nice exotic incense spice notes intermingled with a bakers chocolate and smoky cup profile. Light roast are not recommended (for almost all Indo coffees). Medium roasts were nice and balanced, a little lemony acidity upfront mixing with a bunch of spice and hints of an earthy slightly peaty chocolaty factor; a decent roast point for pour-overs or drip. Medium roasting gets the fuller body and more chocolate/malt with hints of spice. Darker roasting gets hefty bakers chocolate note with complimenting roasty-ness. Lower acidity cup overall but will show some crisp citric notes at lighter roasts, some floral characteristics as well. Good from light to dark. In general, the strongest offering out of the three, smooth, big bodied & creamy with semi-sweet chocolate notes, nutty accents and a bit of lingering spice in the aftertaste. Lighter roasting will show some stronger citric acidity comingling with stronger herbal notes, a hint of chocolate, good depth of flavors but will be a bit sharp and herbal for most. Medium roasting gets the fuller body and more chocolaty toned cup with a hint of spice, unlike the other two, this will still have a little hint of citric, leaving it a bit sweeter tasting. A cool cup from medium to dark. There are some sweet island floral tones upfront at the lighter roasts, a sweet edge with unique spice; somewhere between a woody cinnamon to more peppery/clove. Wonderful aromatics accompany lighter roasts but could be a little too grassy/sharp for some. Medium roasts are more chocolaty, balancing with the spice nicely, less woody, more bold semi-sweet clove like spice. Darker roasts get smooth and creamy retaining those exotic spice notes to compliment the roasty and smoky darker chocolate cup.

We thought best served in the medium roast range but will be tasty from light to dark: a very sweet cup at any roast point. Lighter roasts have some stronger citric/floral acidity, a little hint of a grape-skin like fruitiness and a spiced (herbal) chocolate undertone. Medium roasts build a much creamier cup profile, just a hint of crisp floral upfront that fades into a strawberry like fruitiness balanced with a spicier chocolate dark tone. Dark roasts themselves are a bit flat but still very sweet edged, hardly fruity but makes up for it with the fuller bodied more robust chocolate and spice notes.

At the medium roasts one will see a more gentle cup with good body, a little sweeter edge, hints of acidity and stronger chocolaty spice. Darker roasts get much fuller bodied and bring out the very strong bakers chocolate edge balancing nicely with classic African spice note and complimenting roasty/smoky tones. Lighter roasts will show crisp lemony acidity with more of a caramel/chocolate spin but can be pretty sharp.

A nice and clean taste, good from light to dark. Mostly these beans will appeal to medium-dark roast fans but being an exceptionally clean cup, it has some lovely balance and is quite tasty at lighter roasts. Similar to its Indonesian cousins (except washed processed), it gets real hefty into the dark roasts promoting smoky and chocolaty tones with stronger spice notes. Lighter roasting it is more delicate and floral, slightly fruity with some detectable lemony crispness, sweet edged, medium bodied with hints of a chocolaty factor.
