This is one unique coffee! We have carried only a few of these Fruit Fermentations coffees in the past, some have loved them, some have not, but a very fun and definitely unique offering for home roasters. Part high quality Colombian coffee, part blueberry science experiment. Flavored enough by the crazy processing that the crowd will be split on this one but we found much joy drinking it. Be ready for coffee that tastes and smells like varying levels of blueberry depending on the roast level.Recommendation of a medium roast to present this best. If you love blueberry, this coffee will be pretty awesome. The blueberry tones stick right out and balance nicely with the Colombian coffee profile. Lighter roasts were interesting, some may want to try it here, the cup is bright and clean but be warned, the aromatics and flavor of the blueberry is very strong, it balances with a very sweet, nutty, buttery textured tone. Pretty much a guarantee one will have not tasted flavors like this in coffee before, but will be a limited crew that likes the light roast point best. We did like lighter roasts better than the other offerings, but all in all the cup lacked balance with some normal coffee tones. Medium roasts push the tastes much higher in our book, a little hint of citric acidity, some classic Colombian nuttiness, good body with a clear sweet melon tones, a little stronger in the aromatics but also clear in the tastes. Still unique but links more to traditional coffee tastes. Darker roasts close to second crack present nicely, but into second crack more than a pop or two did pick up a little bitter contrast.

Recommendation of a nice medium roast to present this best. If you love sweet citrus and coconut, this coffee will be pretty awesome. Two of our tasters picked this one as the favorite. The aromatics pop the coconut right out, and the lemon tones balance nicely with the Colombian coffee profile. Part high quality Colombian coffee, part passionfruit science experiment. Flavored enough by the crazy processing that the crowd will be split on this one but we found much joy drinking it. Recommendation of a lighter medium to borderline dark roast to present this best. I unfortunately have not eaten a ton of passionfruit so this was harder for me to link directly to the fruit itself, where the other two strike home. More floral and citric fruity comparatively to the other two, a bit more delicate, the aromatics and fruitiness balanced best out of the three with the coffee tones but no missing the unique fruity/fermentation tones.

Recommendation of a strong medium to borderline dark roast to present this best. Just might be my personal favorite of the three, the Pineapple tones stick right out and balance nicely with the Colombian coffee profile. Lighter roasts were interesting, some may want to try it here, the cup is clean & the aromatics and flavor of the pineapple is very strong, balances with a very sweet, nutty, buttery textured tone. Pretty much a guarentee one will have not tasted flavors like this in coffee before, but will be a limited crew that likes the light roast point best. Medium roasts push the tastes much higher in our book, a little hint of citric acidity, some classic Colombian nuttiness, good body with a clear pineapple note in the smell and aftertaste. Great tasting from light to dark, a fun bean to try at many roast levels. Lighter roasts have some good acidity, crisp and clean cup. Strong lemony floral brightness fading into wild and sweet fruitiness, a bit dry nutty lingers on the tongue in the aftertaste but an awesome roast point for you fruit forward coffee fans. Medium roasts build the body up in the cup and add traditional Colombian chocolaty & nutty tones, lessoning the more citric notes but retaining the more fruit forward cup profile, much more balanced. Colombian naturals are some of the few wild fruit forward beans that hold darker roasts nicely, strong semi-sweet smoky and chocolaty tones, with some nuttier accents, retaining just a touch of fruitiness in the aftertaste.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.25.$6.90Current price is: $6.90.$8.25/lb$6.90/lb -

Low acidity and fuller bodied this cup shows the classic spirit of Colombian coffee. A little hint of acidity at the light roast points but risks some grassy tones. Medium roasts are great and contain that classic dry toasted walnut tone with a little jazzy spice note. Darker roasts turn a bit more bakers chocolate versus smoky with just a hint of a nutty accent.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.49.$6.99Current price is: $6.99.$8.49/lb$6.99/lb
