The aroma of this coffee is very nice; sweet with with a little spice & floral notes. Best at a medium to borderline dark roast. Sweet upfront with a hint of crispness balanced with a stronger toasted walnut/chocolaty undertone. A little hint of acidity at the medium roast point really creates a nicely balanced cup with a broad flavor profile. Touching 2nd crack builds some body and will add some smoky and roasty notes that can compliment the classic Colombian profile.

A fresh and great tasting classic Ethiopian! This is not a super fruity natural, would be considered a darker toned, lower acidity, chocolaty cup. One can tell its natural processed roots with its sweetness and thickness and its Ethiopian roots with highlights of spice & fruity/floral notes throughout the roast range. Best served in the light to medium roast range for drip brew for it will show its best balance and promote a hint of fruity/floral. Turns into a chocolate bomb at the darker roasts, more on the dark chocolate side, which would work wonderfully for espresso or cold brew. Indian Mysore Nuggets has been a favorite of Burman Coffee and customers for many years and this crop does not disappoint. The aroma is nutty, woody, and some slight smokiness. Many of the notes in the aroma come through in the flavor like walnuts and some smoke. There’s dark fruit, oak, licorice, and some vanilla spice, like a good dry red wine. The finish has a subdued brightness to it with just hints of lemon zest at lighter roast points. The body is medium to full depending on roast and brew. A very nice fresh crop arrival. Full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel, low acidity and spot on tastes from a traditional Mandheling Sumatra; peat moss, smoky, chocolaty, fuller bodied and strong. A clean enough cup to get a decent medium roast, gives a smoother mouthfeel and has a bit of sweetness upfront, darker roasts will turn thicker but also edgier and promote the smokier semi-sweet side of the profile.

Crisp, clean and fresh, a great coffee from light to dark. A less acidic Kenya with great balance, mouthfeel and depth of flavors. At light roasts it will still have some brighter citrus qualities but will not pucker ones mouth. Kenyan coffees in general can be pretty strong. It has hints of chocolate, fruit & herbal spice along with the citrus and floral. Medium roasts bring the best balance to the cup accentuating the chocolaty tones and reducing the brighter notes just a hint. Darker roasts make that classic Kenya herbal tone pop right out and is more down the potent bakers chocolate alley. Very clean with increasing body as the roast gets darker. A great balance between citrus, floral, herbal and chocolate. Great daily drinker from medium to dark roasts. Good body and lower acidity, nice and strong semi-sweet malty tones with a hint of spice in the aftertaste. At the light to medium roasts it will show just a pinch of crispness and a hint of earth, not super citric but will leave a dryness to the tongue, a bit floral in its aromatics but not in the cup. Just before to touching 2nd crack gets rid of almost all signs of any acidity and adds some complimenting smokiness to the cup profile. A very smooth cup from a medium roast to just before 2nd crack. Into 2nd crack will get some edgy strength that dark roast fans will like.

A fresh arrival great from a medium to dark roast. A good daily drinker. Medium to low acidity, the cup does have some jazzy more floral tones at the lighter roast points, but too light & it will be on the nutty/grassy side of things. Takes a little fuller roast to see the chocolaty side blossom. Medium roasts and beyond produce a smooth and rich cup, more chocolaty than nutty, pulls a dryer peanut brittle like tone (some may say hint of caramel), more peanut than brittle but we all thought it to be a good descriptor. Dark roasts turns the cup pretty chocolaty, retains the sweet edge and a couple tasters even noticed a little floral hint to it.
