Most would consider this a medium to dark roast coffee, but does have some jazz at lighter roast points. Darker toned, semi-sweet coffee with lower acidity and a fuller body. Filled with rich chocolate/nutty/herbal/spice like tones. Great depth of flavor without all that citric and fruity that often comes with higher rated cups these days.
Lighter roasting promotes the more nutty/herbal, darker roasting chocolate & spice. Lighter roasting took 4-5 days after roasting to get tasty, medium to dark roasts were tasty from day 1.

Great cup from light to dark! Smooth, sweet, rich and buttery textured. A very chocolaty cup with hints of floral acidity and a soft fruit tone. Overall, lower acidity and fuller bodied with some classic Colombian nutty tones in the aftertaste. A little spice in the cup creates wonderful depth of flavor. At lighter points you get some brighter and crisper tones, small hints of fruitiness combine with just a pinch of darker note, a balanced cup if you give it a longer setup, but can be a little bright if you drink it too soon. Medium to dark roasts are where you get the more classic Colombian cup, fuller bodied with more potent nutty/chocolaty tones, the fruitiness disappears but the cup retains a nice and sweet edge to it.

New Crop Costa! This is one you Costa Rican fans will not want to miss, a customer favorite. A smooth and clean coffee with a sweet and nutty taste profile. Turns a bit chocolaty as one pushes past a medium roast. Wonderful balance of tones with hints of floral and soft fruit. Medium bodied cup with lower than average acidity for a Costa Rican. A cup everyone should love.

A very nicely balanced chocolaty and nutty cup profile, a bit on the sweeter side. The taste is fuller bodied with a nice walnut chocolaty tone mixing with a smooth, sweeter, mellow finish. Pleasing hints of smoke and spice finish off this great Colombian coffee at darker roast points. Lighter roasts can show hints of floral but all in all a lower acidity cup.

A very nice light to dark roast decaf. Lighter roasts are sweeter and more delicate, a little unique spice with a bit of nuttiness and just a pinch of floral. Medium roasts are a smoother cup, a little sweet edge, nutty, with a touch of chocolate. Has a little floral overtone that makes it a bit interesting. Fuller bodied with a richer chocolate tone closer to 2nd crack. Some smokiness at second crack or into but retains its smooth and rich character. Decaf Mexican is always one of my favorite beans to get a nice and strong chocolaty note in the decafs. Lower acidity and fuller bodied, pretty hefty in its semi sweet bakers chocolate tone at fuller roasts.

New 2024/25 Crop!
Best from the lighter side of a medium roast to as dark as you want to go. A bit cleaner tasting but slightly less fruity than previous seasons. Lighter roasting presents some nice honey processed features: citric, floral, soft fruit with an almost oak/peat like finish, sweet & complex but does risk some underdeveloped tones if you nail it a little too light. Medium roasts were our favorite, still balanced and complex but will develop the traditional chocolate and smoky tones for which Dominican coffees are known for – to balance out those more exotic fruity and citric tones. Darker roasts are a little more complex than on the washed processed version, but not as smooth and rich.Price: $9.49/lb - 8.29/lbPrice: $9.49 -

A fun tasty bean from light to dark. Clean enough for lighter roasting, a little jazzy acidity upfront, a bit nutty/caramel and floral. A sweet edged and a smooth cup. Turns into a very robust coffee at the fuller roasts. Fuller bodied with low acidity and very complex semi-sweet darker tones; chocolate, tobacco earthiness, molasses and smoky.Price: $9.49/lb - 8.29/lbPrice: $9.49 -

A great medium to dark roast coffee: robust, fuller bodied, lower acidity and complex. Rich and smooth with nutty, chocolate, earthy and spice tones. On the lighter roast spectrum there is a little jazzy citric note that presents the cup a little sweeter, on the darker roast spectrums it will have some roasty and smoky notes that we found quite pleasant.Price:Price: Original price was: $9.49.$8.49Current price is: $8.49.$9.49/lb$8.49/lb -

Kayon Mountain has become a tradition around here, marks one of our favorite times of the year, new Ethiopian season! Beautiful coffee and screen.Clean, bright, sweet with a very diverse flavor set. Stone and darker fruit, citrus & floral, and spiced chocolate tones are the main flavors one can see in this cup, either accentuated or muted depending on roast level. Nice jammy body will be seen in the medium to borderline dark roast mark. Very dependent on roast – lighter roasting gives much more of the citrus, red-fruit with just a hint of a spicy chocolaty factor, a much dryer finish. Darker roasts produce much more of a bakers chocolate cup with a hint of a strawberry like fruit note and good sweetness, far less acidic. A very enjoyable cup from light to dark.

Smooth, rich, delicate and clean, a wonderful example of a top notch Guatemalan. The aroma has great sweet notes. Hazel and hickory nuts, caramel, and milk chocolate. The body is light/medium and has a very silky texture on the malty side. The aroma comes through in the taste to create a wonderful balance of tones. Medium to low acidity, the brightness reduces the darker you roast. The finish is very smooth and clean with a lingering sweetness.

New Crop Org. Comsa! This cup is nice and chocolaty, lower acidity and medium bodied. A little sweeter edge to it except for super dark roasts. Besides a chocolaty factor one will get some nutty/caramel/floral like tones at the medium roast points, gives it some nice complimenting depth without being too exotic. We all thought it was at its best right around a full city – smooth without too much of a roasty note and great chocolaty tones.

A very rich, strong and smooth cup. A cousin to Sumatra or Sulawesi coffee; Blue Moon always is a bit smoother without as much peaty earthiness, or swampy fruit. A sweeter cup for an Indo with malt, chocolate with a little traditional earthy terroir of the wet-hulled Indonesians. Fuller bodied, a little hint of acidity at a medium roast, a definite go to for our strong-medium or dark roasts here at Burman Coffee. Pulls some molasses undertones as ones pushes into second crack roasts. Hints of slight smoky tone at darker roast.

Stand up beans good from light to dark, but we thought best at the fuller roast levels. Medium to full bodied, lower acidity, clean and chocolaty with some nice fruity overtones. Lighter roasts will have a little citric/floral tone with a sweet and herbal edge, a hint of soft fruit. Medium roasts get much more chocolaty and less herbal providing a balanced cup, works nicely for all taste buds; smooth and rich. Darker roasts brew a strong and bold cup, very chocolaty with a hint of spice in the aftertaste, roasty accents.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.99.$7.99Current price is: $7.99.$8.99/lb$7.99/lb -

A nice clean, balanced cup, medium bodied and lower acidity for an African. Best from a medium to dark roast. Although lower acidity, lighter roasts will still be a little citric and floral balanced with a rustic bakers chocolaty undertone. Medium roasts mute up the acidity and leave a little hint of a floral, developing a little soft fruit tone mixing with a smoother but still semi-sweet chocolate darker tones. Darker roasts themselves pick up some nice complimentary roasty & smoky tones mixing with a stronger bakers chocolate cup profile.
