Regular Price $6.99/Lb
A very fresh and tasty Brazil! Lighter roasts show lemon, floral & soft fruit contrasted by a nuttier (almond like) undertone, a sweet edged cup. The two combine for a hints of caramel, quite tasty for you light roast fans. Medium roasts are richer, more of a developed chocolaty tone and decently less nutty; mutes up the soury floral edge, retains a little hint of soft fruit as the cup cools. Fairly neutral tasting and very chuggable. Darker promotes a thicker body and introduces a slightly bitter contrast that works very well for espresso.Price:Price: Original price was: $6.99.$5.99Current price is: $5.99.$6.99/lb$5.99/lb -

Great from light to dark. Lighter roasts will show some floral acidity and soft fruit tones comingling with a little nutty/caramel like darker note. Crisp, clean, sweet and balanced. Medium roasts mute up most of the floral attributes, gains a little body and thicker mouthfeel, just a pinch of a sweet fruity upfront quickly dominated by nutty and chocolate like tones. Darker roasts get a bit smoky and move the soft fruit tone to the aftertaste, mostly noticeable as the cup cools, a stronger nutty/chocolatey/smoky profile.

A very fruit forward and floral exotic Colombian. All sorts of cool unique flavors can be found in this cup from the slow dry natural processing and boutique fermentation. The brighter tones tend to range from a lemon citric component at the lighter roasts to strong stone fruit in the medium roast range. The acidity is pretty high at the lighter roasts but mellows greatly at a strong medium to dark roast. The balance of the cup comes from an almost cola-like tone that turns a bit nuttier into the darker roasts. Medium bodied, super clean with some far from traditional Colombian tones.

Intro Special – Regular Price $8.99/Lb
A good cup from light to dark but to showcase what makes these beans special, light to medium roasts will be the way to go. Light roast points are very jazzy with stronger citric/floral acidity mixing with a little soft fruit tone, pulling some balance with a sweet edged nuttiness. With the red fruit and more citric components, it makes us think pink lemonade upfront, but some were more down the tart raspberry alley. Medium roasts get fuller bodied and smoother, good nutty/chocolate like undertones with less crisp citric/floral acidity. Darker roasts will kill most of the brightness but will retain a little hint of fruit as the cup cools. Much more chocolaty and robust at the darker roast points, potent brew, can have a little stout like bitter aftertaste but will hit the tongue on the sweeter side.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.99.$7.99Current price is: $7.99.$8.99/lb$7.99/lb -

A very fresh crisp and clean Colombian arrival. Good from light to dark but a nice solid medium roast was what won us over on this lot. Stronger more spicy cup profile. Lighter roasts have very crisp and clean acidity, a sweet lemony floral, with hints of a black tea like spice, some dry nuttier tones in the aftertaste. Just a little development past first crack is a good sweet spot for lighter roasting. Medium roasts are richer with less lemony floral, more traditional nutty/chocolate like tones and some lingering spice in the aftertaste. Darker roasts are full of bakers chocolate notes, more semi-sweet smoky with nutty accents. The spice still lingers on the tongue but the cup is dominated by the roasty and smoky tones.

A lovely, crisp, and clean, not overly fruity natural processed. We thought it best right around the medium roast ballpark but will make fans lighter or darker depending on your personal taste preference. Lighter roasting is a bit higher acidity, lemony and floral with some grape skin like fruitiness coming through. A bit more herbal spice right at first crack, needs a longer setup time to shine but will provide delicate chocolaty notes with much wilder acidity and fruity tones. Medium roasts were tasty without the wait! Balanced, tasty, and clean after 24 hours. A pronounced chocolaty factor, medium bodied, hints of crisp acidity backed with a little soft fruit tone and spice. Wonderfully smooth and delicate for a Congo coffee. Dark roasts were tasty right off the bat as well, roasty and stronger but with a sweeter then average edge. The smokiness does compliment the strong chocolaty undertones.

A super clean lot from the Congo; Amazing considering all the trouble this year in the Kivu; beautiful prep on these beans. Great floral and soft fruit tones upfront with a bit of brightness balanced with a tea spiced chocolaty factor, not too overwhelming or potent like some Africans. Smooth with almost a brown sugar hint at a strong medium roast. Pretty much everyone will love this coffee, a great everyday drinker.Price:Price: Original price was: $7.49.$6.29Current price is: $6.29.$7.49/lb$6.29/lb -

A good cup from medium to dark roasts. Fuller bodied, lower acidity, rich & clean cup with a fairly sweet edge. Nutty and chocolate tones dominate the cup profile, hints of a green tea like spice at lighter roasts. Smoky, slightly roasty tones poke out at the darker roasts. More nutty than chocolaty light-medium roasted, more chocolaty than nutty medium to dark roasted.

A very nice medium to dark roast decaf. Medium roasts are a much smoother cup, a little sweet edge, nutty, with a touch of chocolate. Has a little floral overtone that makes it a bit interesting. Fuller bodied with a richer chocolate tone closer to 2nd crack. Some smokiness at second crack or into but retains its smooth and rich character. Decaf Mexican is always one of my favorite beans to get a nice and strong chocolaty note in the decafs. Lower acidity and fuller bodied, pretty hefty in its semi sweet bakers chocolate tone at fuller roasts.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.79.$7.79Current price is: $7.79.$8.79/lb$7.79/lb -

Regular Price $7.20/Lb
A clean and mild mannered natural. A sweet cup that will pick up hints of fruitiness at the light-medium roast levels. Not crazy over fermented like many naturals these days, the fruitiness pulls nice balance with classic Central American nutty and chocolate like tones. Reminded us of the El Sal Cerro Las Ranas Honey, just one notch fruitier. Light roasts accentuate the fruitiness of the cup and will lean the balance towards a nuttier cup profile. Not too acidic or citric at lighter roasts, presents a nice balance between light and dark tones, will not develop the richer chocolate tones present at fuller roast levels. Medium roasts are where the more chocolaty aspect comes in, semi-sweet cocoa with a slightly fruity overtone, smooth cup with a milky mouthfeel. Medium bodied with low acidity. Darker roasts greatly accentuate the chocolate note but comes off a little bittersweet. An excellent roast level for espresso, or if you enjoy a splash of milk/cream. Hard to detect fruitiness at darker roasts but does pick up a some oaky complexity that will let one know it’s a slower dry natural processed.Price:Price: Original price was: $7.20.$6.20Current price is: $6.20.$7.20/lb$6.20/lb -

A very sweet and fruity cup of coffee. Best at a light to medium roast. Good body with some crisp floral tones right upfront. The floral will quickly fade into strong and diverse red fruit tones, more pronounced as the cup cools. The floral/fruit will pull some balance with a chocolaty cup profile as you push into the medium roast levels, just a hint of classic Yirgacheffe tea like spice in the aftertaste.

A great example of a top rated and clean Yirg coffee. Bright, citrus, floral and soft fruit versus a chocolaty spice note, a bit tea like at lighter roast points. Very dependent on roast, one can accentuate or hide the attributes of this cup depending on roast level. Washed Ethiopians are always way fun to play around with. Lighter quicker roasts are front loaded floral and citrus with a little hint of a chocolaty tone (pretty faint), dark roasts are hefty, a bit fuller bodied with strong bakers chocolate tone and some smokiness.

Regular Price $7.99/Lb
Very clean cup following the traditional Washed Ethiopian profile. Jasmine/floral like aromatics add a wonderful layer of complexity. Lighter roasts have a sweet lemony citric edge balancing with a smooth and delicate chocolate undertone. Medium body and brightness levels. Definitely has some floral characteristics that pop right out as well as some hints of spice that get accentuated into the fuller roasts. Easy to see those unique tastes coming from the heirloom strains. Medium roasts gentle out the cup, smooth most would say. Although it still retains hints of floral, the cup becomes more about the chocolate notes with some exotic aromatics and spice that linger in the aftertaste. Darker roasts will be very low acidity and strong, not as smooth or exotic, but has a strong bakers chocolate note many will enjoy. Just touching 2nd crack is a sweet spot for the darker roasts fans to get that big chocolaty bittersweet cup without being too smoky.Price:Price: Original price was: $7.99.$6.79Current price is: $6.79.$7.99/lb$6.79/lb -

A tasty mix of tones, great from light to dark. The cup profile is mostly down the malty side but these beans have some awesome jazz.Medium roasting really pulls together a tasty treat but you can take it lighter or darker depending on personal taste preference.
Hints of floral mixing with smooth nutty & malty features. Will show some winy citric and fruit acidity in the light to medium roast spectrum but all in all a medium to low acidity brew with a medium body.
Smooth, clean and sweet edged, a cup we are more than willing to drink all day. Guatemalans almost always hold dark roasts nicely for adding a little sweet malty note to the smoky and roasty tones is a tasty mix.

A very nice example of a fruit forward natural. Clean enough cup for lighter roasts, where the tastes tend to shine. Stronger citric acidity, a medium body, plenty of red fruit notes and hints of a nutty/chocolaty undertone. Medium roasts will mellow the acidity and accentuate the chocolaty factor, less extreme and easier to drink but not as punchy of a cup. A bit easier cup to achieve roasting wise. Darker roasts are still very interesting with the two-tones of roast level. One still gets hints of acidity (very small) and a bit of fruity factor but also a ton of bitter-sweet smoky and chocolaty notes.

This cup is nice and chocolaty, lower acidity and medium bodied. A little sweeter edge to it except for super dark roasts. Besides a chocolaty factor one will get some nutty/caramel/floral like tones at the medium roast points, gives it some nice complimenting depth without being too exotic. We all thought it was at its best right around a full city – smooth without too much of a roasty note and great chocolaty tones.

Very fermenty/fruity, lower acidity cup with good body. A wild old world natural processed good from light to dark. A beautiful tasting bean this season: slightly fruitier but still balances with traditional Indonesian character. Hints of acidity with stronger fruitiness at lighter roasts, strong fruit/oak tones on a more nutty/earthy/chocolaty profile at darker roast points. No missing the wild side in this cup. Medium roasts are where one should shoot for their first roast, mutes some nutty tones and pronounces the chocolaty factor for some balance, still plenty of wild fruity natural processed tones in the cup. Dark roasts will introduce some smoky accents but retain great sweetness. A great balance of slow dried natural with thick and creamy dark tones all in one cup.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.49.$7.49Current price is: $7.49.$8.49/lb$7.49/lb -

Tasty from medium to dark. We preferred it a bit on the darker side. Lighter roasting is wild and decently fruit forward, sweet with a little acidity upfront; winy and brandy like with some lingering dry nutty/earthy tones, a bit of floral in the aftertaste, good but not chocolaty enough for us. Medium roasts mellow the cup a bit, turning it more chocolaty, fuller bodied and refining the fruitiness, making it a cup everyone will love, not just natural processed fans. Reminiscent of a nice Yemen Mokka but a bit more brandy like. Smooth and easy drinking. Dark roasts worked exceptionally well. Chocolaty but not overly roasty, sweet with just a pinch of fruit in the aftertaste. A bit of bolder spice compliments the more delicate features: great mouthfeel.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.49.$7.49Current price is: $7.49.$8.49/lb$7.49/lb -

A very cool cup! Best medium to dark roasted but will hold lighter roasts much better than most Sumatra coffees. Lighter roasts have a little cool lemony acidity upfront, with some soft fruit tones giving it some jazz, balanced with a dry earthy chocolaty herbal factor with some incense like spice. As you push into the medium roasts, it will get fuller bodied with a creamy mouthfeel cutting out the more lemony floral tones, turns the cup much more chocolaty and gives depth to the exotic spice notes. Darker roasts will turn more stout like and semi-sweet. When roasting into 2nd crack one will add some cool roasty and smoky tones into the more bakers chocolaty cup profile.Price:Price: Original price was: $7.99.$6.75Current price is: $6.75.$7.99/lb$6.75/lb -

A very clean, exotic and balanced cup of coffee. Although still considered a higher acidity cup, this offering is more about the fuller body and complex darker tones. Especially at lighter roasts, one will see a more citric style acidity, comingling with a green tea like spice, clean as a whistle, but may be a little sharp for some. Medium roasts bring a more potent chocolaty cup with some floral highlights, lingering spice in the aftertaste. Darker roasts get much thicker and semi-sweet, would put in on the bakers chocolate side of things with some soft fruit and spice lingering on the tongue, a little smoky if you go real dark.

A nice tasting coffee from light to dark. We thought it best right around a medium roast for daily drinking but depending on what you like, holds up well lighter or darker. Light roasts one can see the linkage to Kenya; citric and floral upfront, a sweet edge, thicker chocolate/spice undertones, hints of caramel with a little setup in the aftertaste. Not as punchy as most Kenyan offerings, but along the same line of tastes. Medium roasts really mellow the cup. Smooth most would say, a bit more neutral with just a hint of the floral and spice seen at the lighter roasts. Reminded us of a cross between the Mysore Nuggets and a nice Costa Rican coffee. Great for daily drinking. Darker roasts touching or into second crack retain the sweet edge and put a more malty/smoky taste into play with some lingering spice in the aftertaste.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.49.$7.29Current price is: $7.29.$8.49/lb$7.29/lb -

Good from light to dark, very different tasting dependent on roast level. If you are a very fruit forward natural fan, sticking in the light to medium roast level is recommended. Contrary to many naturals, these beans rock at the fuller roast levels as well, touching or into second crack produces a very lively cup, not super roasty with incredible depth of flavor and good balance between light and dark tones.

This cup is nice and clean, a little fuller bodied and smooth with a sweeter edge. A great year for Peru coffees; the cup starts just a little citric, fairly low acidity only detectable at the lighter roast points, a little hint of soft fruit but mainly a pretty chocolaty cup profile with some nutty accents. Lighter roasts one can find a hint of caramel if you get lucky, and leans on the nuttier side, little citric will poke out. A nice medium roast will make anyone happy and provide good balance and smooth chocolate tones, low acidity – a good daily drinker. Mostly these beans will appeal to medium-dark roast fans but being an exceptionally clean cup, it has some lovely balance and is quite tasty at lighter roasts. Similar to its Indonesian cousins (except washed processed), it gets real hefty into the dark roasts promoting smoky and chocolaty tones with stronger spice notes. Lighter roasting it is more delicate and floral, slightly fruity with some detectable lemony crispness, sweet edged, medium bodied with hints of a chocolaty factor.

Yemen coffees are the rare cup where you can occasionally see a “banana” like fruit tone – don’t worry though, its a little bit of a reach for banana, its not like eating a banana or banana flavored coffee, although with developed tongue, most can pick it up. Red fruit and bakers chocolate are the dominate tones – fruit is accentuated with lighter roasts, chocolaty with darker roasts.
