The aroma is very nutty and sweet. There was a surprising hint of smoke on the palate. Full bodied and low acidity – this is a traditional tasting Brazil – thick, creamy, nutty and semi-sweet. At the darker roasts a very sweet first taste, almost a little fruity, and then quickly turns darker-toned with a bakers chocolate and slightly toasted walnut flavor. The Colombia Premium Tolima – Finca La Bohemia – Gesha from Burman Coffee is an exceptional high-altitude Gesha green coffee sourced from the renowned La Bohemia farm in Colombia. Grown between 1,500 and 2,200 meters above sea level, this carefully produced washed microlot showcases the elegance and complexity for which the Gesha variety is globally celebrated. In the cup, it offers an intensely aromatic profile led by floral notes of jasmine, bright citrus tones reminiscent of lemon, and delicate layers of amaretto and almond that add depth and refinement. Its crisp, vibrant acidity is beautifully balanced by a clean sweetness and a silky mouthfeel, making it an excellent choice for roasters aiming to highlight clarity, nuance, and sophistication. This is Sabastian’s family coffee (a wonderful Burman Coffee employee), small batch production shipped in by airplane to give our customers some of the freshest coffee poddible. Processed in early August.
Green coffee from a family farm in Miraflores, Gigante municipality (Huila, Colombia): It is a Castillo variety, washed and harvested at altitudes of 1,600–1,900 m, hand-selected. It arrives by air in small batches to preserve its freshness (harvested in late July 2025 and threshed in early August). It presents an exceptionally clean and balanced cup, very versatile depending on the roast: in light coffee, it shows a medium body with caramel and nuts, an intense floral aroma and orange-like citrus with slight herbal and spicy nuances; in medium coffee, it gains structure, with chocolate and a subtle hint of lemon predominating, with a lingering nutty note, lively acidity, and balanced sweetness; in dark coffee, it offers a robust body with deep cocoa and a hint of black tea, while maintaining moderate acidity.

The aroma of this coffee is very nice; sweet with with a little spice & floral notes. Best at a medium to borderline dark roast. Sweet upfront with a hint of crispness balanced with a stronger toasted walnut/chocolaty undertone. A little hint of acidity at the medium roast point really creates a nicely balanced cup with a broad flavor profile. Touching 2nd crack builds some body and will add some smoky and roasty notes that can compliment the classic Colombian profile.

A lovely & fresh coffee, our first new crop Peru. Best from medium to dark roasts, a good daily drinker. Medium to low acidity, with a thicker body and mouthfeel. A wonderful more chocolaty cup than shows some nuttiness. Lighter roasting will show just a pinch of citric, which provides nice depth of flavor but be a little careful ligher, too light will show some grassy/herbal tones. Medium roasts and beyond produce a smooth and rich cup, more chocolaty than nutty, pulls a peanut brittle like tone (some may say hint of caramel), not quite candy like, more peanut than brittle but we all thought it to be a good descriptor. Dark roasts turns the cup pretty chocolaty, retains the sweet edge and a couple even noticed a little floral hint to it.
