Light to dark this will make a tasty cup. Although very identifiable as a Kenya, this is not an overly acidic coffee. Lighter roasts do have some lemony goodness but its crisp and defined, not mouth puckering. Fuller bodied and chocolaty with very noticeable spice notes, good balance of light and dark tones even at lighter roast points. Sweet edged with some hints of a fruity factor between the lemony floral front end and chocolaty spice undertones. Medium roasts are smooth and accentuate the chocolaty factor, muting up most of the acidity, a very easy to drink cup. Much of the coffee industry considers Kenyan coffee top of the food chain and one can see why in a cup like this. So many cool tones and flavor diversity. To some cups like these are flavor overloads, to others, they wonder why would one drink anything else. Light roasts are pretty front-loaded with bright and lemony floral tones, unlike our other lots, it does have some balance at the light roast points but only take it here if you like acidity. Medium roasts bring out a bit of caramel and balance out of cup properties, very tasty. A bit of floral acidity still but not overwhelming while the spice notes comes mostly in the aftertaste. A very clean, exotic and balanced cup of coffee. This cup hit the classic Kenyan cup profile on the head without being too overwhelming like some (very balanced in its tones). Not quite sizzling but a very noticeable lemony floral tone upfront at the light to medium roast points balanced with some stronger but very clean chocolate tones. A hint of spice and soft fruit can be found in the aftertaste. Light roasts will swing the balance towards the floral citric side, darker roasts more towards the jazzy bakers chocolate alley. Holds up into 2nd crack for you dark roast fans. Low acidity and strong bittersweet chocolate tones with the traditional Kenyan spice note that leaves a very smoky tone on the pallet.

Wonderful light to dark roast beans. Too see it shine, we do recommend a light to medium but there are reasons we can think of to take it darker. A bit thicker and lower acidity for a prime Kenya offering. Lighter roasts are sweet and clean, medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. A pinch of citric accompanied with bolder chocolate notes, a hint of spice in the aftertaste. Medium roasts are full bodied and very rich tasting, lots of complexity to the darker tones, starts picking up some complimenting roasty tones as one gets closer to 2nd crack. Into second crack roasts promotes a bittersweet edge with strong bakers chocolate and dry malt overtones.

Tasty from light to dark; clean, rich and on the brighter side. Although still considered a higher acidity, stronger cup, this offering is mellower than the AA lot we brought in at the same time. Our favorite roast was on the lighter side but held up well throughout all the roast level tasting.Lighter roasts are more lemony and floral with hints of a darker herbal tone in the aftertaste. A bit of nutty/caramel if you nail the roast right with a little setup. Not as front loaded as the AA at light roasts, pulls better balance.
Medium roasts are smooth and creamier, still noticable acidity but more in the background. Good body to the cup with rich semi-sweet chocolate tones that fade a bit into a green tea like spice note. Detected a hint of soft fruit as the cup cooled
Dark roast are a very dark toned cup, low acidity with strong semi-sweet smoky & malty tones. A bit of herbal can still be found but more muted than the light-medium roast levels.

A great cup from light to dark, but we think best at a solid medium roast. Light roasts will be pretty acidic, medium roasts smooth and balanced, darker roasts potent but bittersweet. This is an excellent classically bright Kenyan; super clean, sweet with good body. One can find all sorts of acidic like notes in this cup ranging from soft fruit to very floral citrus. All the wonderful lighter tones balance with a nice and rich chocolaty undertone, pretty potent, fades into some classic African spice on the tongue (tea like semi-vegetal). Turns pretty dark/bakers chocolate like into the darker roasts. Very fun cup with awesome flavor depth.
