Zambia
Often similar to other African green coffee beans, Zambian coffee is medium- to full-bodied with higher acidity. Flavor notes include citrus, red fruit, herbal spice and chocolate and can be widely dependent on roast level.

A great clean decaf coffee! Good from light to dark. Lighter roasting will show a little lemony crispness, rare for a decaf. Sweeter edged with a little herbal chocolate contrast. Medium roasts cut out most of the lemony crispness and rid the cup of its herbal edge. Smooth and rich, medium bodied, with a more pronounced chocolate tone; a bit floral and sweet in the aromatics, adds to the drinking experience but doesn’t come through in the tastes. Darker roasts are robust and strong, semi-sweet and very chocolaty with a roasty edge.Price:Price: Original price was: $6.99.$5.99Current price is: $5.99.$6.99/lb$5.99/lb -

Similar to the Sigri coffee these beans are pretty low acidity in the cup, very clean in its profile. Smooth, rich and chocolaty with some spice note accents. Most would call it a pretty sweet chocolaty cup with a bit of spice. Very smooth cupping this year with no herbal tones or earthiness. Medium bodied with a sweeter edge, a cup almost anyone would enjoy. Kind of like a Sumatra coffee without all the earthy funk.Price:Price: Original price was: $7.99.$6.99Current price is: $6.99.$7.99/lb$6.99/lb -

A clean, fresh and bright Kenya coffee. Light to dark this will make a tasty cup. Full of citric and floral tones with small hints of a fruitiness, good body with some buzzy acidity that will tingle your tongue. Lighter roasts do have some lemony goodness but it’s crisp and defined, not quite mouth puckering. Hints of black tea spice with a small herbal chocolaty factor are present even at lighter roasting and balance out the cup nicely. Sweet edged with some hints of a fruity factor between the lemony floral front end and chocolaty herbal spice undertones. Medium roasts and smooth and accentuate the chocolaty factor, muting up most of the acidity, a very easy to drink cup. Darker roasts were equally as tasty and drinkable, retains it sweet edge and was not too roasty.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.99.$7.99Current price is: $7.99.$8.99/lb$7.99/lb -

A very nice and clean Costa. Lighter roasts will show that classic Costa sweet floral acidity, a little bit on the lemony side balanced with a little dry nutty/chocolate undertone. As the roasting pushes more into the medium category, the cup develops a bit more body and reduced acidity levels giving a much smoother mouthfeel and more defined chocolaty factor. Creates a wonderful balance of tones. A little lighter floral, a little chocolaty/nutty, very pleasant drinker. Darker roasts hold up nicely as well, turn the cup more stronger and more bakers chocolate like, the roasty notes from darker roasting do compliment the cup. Much more of a chocolate bomb with slightly nutty accents.Price:Price: Original price was: $6.89.$5.89Current price is: $5.89.$6.89/lb$5.89/lb -

Always one of our favorite Mexican coffees. Good from light to dark. Although Natural processed, this is not a fruit bomb like many other natural processed coffees, has slightly fruity overtones that balance great with some citric, malt and nutty undertones. Its a little fuller bodied cup than most Terruno lots with well above average sweetness. Lighter roasting will have noticeable citric crispness upfront and will accentuate the fruitiness. Medium roasts balance the tones nicely and smooth out (reduce) the citric brightness. Darker roasts turn much more chocolaty and get pretty roasty and smoky, retains a sweet edge and shows hints of fruitiness as the cup cools. A good daily drinker across the roast levels.Price:Price: Original price was: $7.49.$6.49Current price is: $6.49.$7.49/lb$6.49/lb -

Intro Special – Regular Price $6.99/Lb
Works well light to dark but we liked it best at a standard medium roast. Smooth and sweet, lower acidity, a fuller body, good mouthfeel with rich malty tones. If you take it a little lighter, picks up some lemony/floral crispness, can bring out a little hint of caramel and slight floral overtones, but risks a little more grassy contrast versus malty. Darker gets a little roasty tasting but its a compliment to the sweeter malt like tones, works nicely for a sweet edged classic tasting dark roast bean.Price:Price: Original price was: $6.99.$5.99Current price is: $5.99.$6.99/lb$5.99/lb -

Great from light to dark. Light roasts will show great depth of flavor and produce a very clean cup. Some acidity, which brings lemony and floral tones to the front end of the tastes, balances them with a sweet edged nutty/malty undertone, hints of a vegetal spice. As one pushes the roast a little darker, the body increases, as the acidity and vegetal spice dissipated. Made for a very lovely daily drinker in the medium roast range; sweet, smooth & complex. Pushing the beans darker, the citric and floral acidity drops nicely to a crisp hint or none at all, the malty tones can turn quite robust as you approach or touch 2nd crack. Sweet, smoky, roasty and malty.Price:Price: Original price was: $10.99.$9.99Current price is: $9.99.$10.99/lb$9.99/lb -

Smooth, clean, full bodied, sweet with a pinch of crisp acidity; this is a very tasty Brazilian. With lighter roasts, one will see some citric upfront giving some good sweetness and depth of flavor, a little floral & balanced with a fuller bodied nutty and chocolate like tone. Decently less nutty than the traditional Cerrado or Mogiana beans. One will still detect a hint of a nutty in the aftertaste for sure but its pretty neutral with a sweet edge. Medium roasts are where we thought this cup to shine, low acidity with a milky mouthfeel: straight forward and neutral tasting with a sweet edged dark tone. Darker roasts themselves add some strength and accentuate the dryer chocolaty notes, adds some roasty & smoky tones to the mix, which many will love.Price:Price: Original price was: $6.99.$5.79Current price is: $5.79.$6.99/lb$5.79/lb -

The aroma of this coffee is very nice; sweet with with a little spice & floral notes. Best at a medium to borderline dark roast. Sweet upfront with a hint of crispness balanced with a stronger toasted walnut/chocolaty undertone. A little hint of acidity at the medium roast point really creates a nicely balanced cup with a broad flavor profile. Touching 2nd crack builds some body and will add some smoky and roasty notes that can compliment the classic Colombian profile.Price:Price: Original price was: $6.99.$5.79Current price is: $5.79.$6.99/lb$5.79/lb -

Fantastic example of an Ethiopian Natural. Keep this one light to medium roasted. Too dark and the awesome crisp and clean fruit/floral notes disappear. A mellow cup on the sweeter side with nice darker fruit tones popping right out. The cool natural tones balance with a tea like spice note, a sign of its roots, Yirgs are known for their more tea like dark tones. Many would call it a chocolaty undertone with a jazzy spice note but we like the tea reference and most will agree. A bit more delicate of a cup with a little lower acidity. Depending on what you like this can be a real perk, fruity and sweet without risking high acidity or overly sour tones at the lighter roast points. A little easy to roast out the fruitiness, so don’t let it get too dark!Price:Price: Original price was: $8.99.$7.99Current price is: $7.99.$8.99/lb$7.99/lb -

A very nice fresh crop arrival. Full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel, low acidity and spot on tastes from a traditional Mandheling Sumatra; peat moss, smoky, chocolaty, fuller bodied and strong. A clean enough cup to get a decent medium roast, gives a smoother mouthfeel and has a bit of sweetness upfront, darker roasts will turn thicker but also edgier and promote the smokier semi-sweet side of the profile.Price:Price: Original price was: $7.75.$6.75Current price is: $6.75.$7.75/lb$6.75/lb -

A lovely coffee from light to dark with a medium roast being our favorite, a staple offering on our list, great stuff every year. This year the cup is a little less acidic and fuller bodied, small hints of fruit at lighter roasts but more about the chocolate and spice notes. Light roasts are clean with a little citric upfront, a small hint of a sweet berry note comingling with an almond like nuttiness and a bit of tea like spice in the aftertaste. Medium roasts brought a fuller body and more chocolate like tones, lower acidity, uncovered a bit of floral upfront, lingering spice in the aftertaste. Darker roasts complimented the cup, a little more rough and tumble but a strong chocolate and spice profile many will love, good for cold brew or espresso.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.49.$7.49Current price is: $7.49.$8.49/lb$7.49/lb -

First New Crop Peru! Regular Price $6.99/Lb
A fresh arrival great from a medium to dark roast. A good daily drinker. Medium to low acidity, the cup does have some jazzy more floral tones at the lighter roast points, but too light & it will be on the nutty/grassy side of things. Takes a little fuller roast to see the chocolaty side blossom. Medium roasts and beyond produce a smooth and rich cup, more chocolaty than nutty, pulls a dryer peanut brittle like tone (some may say hint of caramel), more peanut than brittle but we all thought it to be a good descriptor. Dark roasts turns the cup pretty chocolaty, retains the sweet edge and a couple tasters even noticed a little floral hint to it.Price:Price: Original price was: $6.99.$5.99Current price is: $5.99.$6.99/lb$5.99/lb -

A wonderful example of a top grade washed Ethiopian. Best served in the light to medium roast range, a very delicate and sweet cup. Hints of citrus and soft fruit comingle with floral, chocolate and tea like spice. Heirloom Ethiopian strains have a taste like no other and offerings like this one showcase their uniqueness. For acidity fans, a light roast ending real close to 1st crack will have a stronger lemony citric edge, covers up a bit of the delicate floral/fruit but crisp, clean and sweet. We personally liked it better just a shade or two darker, splitting the difference between light and medium. It will mellow the citric tones popping out the sweet floral, while building a bit more darker tea like contrast. Crisp but not overly acidity. Darker roasts go the other way covering up the citric and floral with strong chocolate and herbal tones.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.69.$7.69Current price is: $7.69.$8.69/lb$7.69/lb
