The state of Narino really produces that classic Colombian profile. Fuller bodied and darker toned with low acidity, the main tones coming from this cup will be toasted walnut mixing with a chocolaty undertone. A little bit of acidity can be found at light roast points but we recommend a medium to dark roast on this bean.

Low acidity, smooth body, and a clean, mellow sweetness. Best from medium to dark roasts. Primary cues of baker’s chocolate and cedar/soft spice, with a round, calmly sweet finish Monsoon character minus the caffeine “edge.” As roast deepens, expect more cocoa/wood and a touch of malt. Unlike its caffeinated cousin, there is some earthiness but its not over the top, the decaf monsooned is more rich and chocolate/earth with some lingering spice.

Great cup from medium to dark. The cup profile is mostly down the malty/chocolate side but these beans will also have some nice floral aromatics and some soft fruit tones providing great depth of flavor. A wonderful rich, sweet, smooth and clean daily drinker. Guatemalans almost always hold dark roasts nicely for adding a little sweet malty note to the smoky and roasty tones is a tasty mix.
