A unique African offering. Reminds me of an Indonesian Sulawesi almost more than other African coffees. Low acidity and full-bodied. It has a very sweet versus earthy contrast. The earthy is more of a mushroom herbal-like tone that balances well with a strong bakers chocolate undertone. As the cup cools, a little pleasant nuttiness comes out in the aftertaste.

The cup profile is mostly down the malty/chocolate side but these beans will also have some nice floral aromatics and some soft fruit tones providing great depth of flavor. A wonderful rich, sweet, smooth and clean daily drinker. Guatemalans almost always hold dark roasts nicely for adding a little sweet malty note to the smoky and roasty tones is a tasty mix.
