In a coffee cherry, usually there are two seeds, they grow against each other creating the “flat” side of the coffee. Occasionally there is only 1 seed, it will grow rounder and a bit denser, this is called a peaberry.

A very nicely balanced chocolaty and nutty cup profile, a bit on the sweeter side. The taste is fuller bodied with a nice walnut chocolaty tone mixing with a smooth, sweeter, mellow finish. Pleasing hints of smoke and spice finish off this great Colombian coffee at darker roast points. Lighter roasts can show hints of floral but all in all a lower acidity cup.

Nesco will honor the warranty and possibly bring back a revised unit down the road but Nesco is not building or selling any more of these units for now.
Check out the Fresh Roast SR 500 or FreshRoast SR 340 for a good alternative for home coffee roasting.
