How it works

Indirect hot air + vortex drum agitation

The CBR-301 circulates heated air through a rotating glass chamber while the off-axis “vortex twisting” motion continuously mixes the beans.
This helps promote even roasting, and the chaff drawer collects husk for easier cleaning.

Step-by-step

Your first roast

    1. Weigh 200–250 g of washed beans for your first batch (you can move up to 300 g once you’re comfortable).
    2. Insert the roast chamber and make sure the chaff tray is empty. Connect the vent pipe if you’re using external venting.
    3. Set Time 15:00 and Temp 450°F (232°C); press Start. (No preheat needed.)
    4. At yellowing (often ~4–6 min), raise temperature if needed (e.g., 470–500°F) to maintain steady momentum.
    5. Listen for first crack (commonly ~9–12 min). For lighter roasts, reduce heat slightly and develop 60–120 s.
    6. Hit Cool at your target. Let the automatic cooling finish, then empty the chaff tray and allow the roaster to fully cool.
