Lighter roasts will show stronger acidity upfront accentuating the exotic acidity/fruitiness that will vary between citric, tropical and stone fruit; dependent on roast level and setup. Pulls great balance with a chocolatier profile and tons of spice notes. Medium roasts still present a bit of acidity with a noticeable fruitier aspects, balancing with those lovely and complex chocolaty spice notes only Yemen can bring to the table. Darker roasts are a bold and spicy cup, the roasty tones mix nicely with the unique spice, a little fruitiness pops as the cup cools.

Medium bodied with some gentle brightness behind it. Clean cup with a classic spicy herbal bakers chocolate undertone balanced with mild lemony floral acidity. Darker roasts mute up a bunch of the acidity and give a real big bodied, smoky, complex and very dark toned cup of coffee.

A fuller bodied cup with higher acidity, a bit less fruity than previous seasons but a wonderful mix of tones. Bakers chocolate and herbal spice with all sorts of little semi-fruity notes (citric and red) popping out. Very dependent on roast level. A fun cup to play with in with in the roaster. Light roasts have strong citric acidity upfront that fades into just a hint of that lovely natural processed red fruit tone, a bit potent with an herbal/veg contrast. Exotic and fun to try lighter roasted. Medium roasts are where we thought it shined; better body, still plenty of acidity/floral/fruit like tones balanced with a more pronounced chocolaty undertone. Darker roasts get smoky and strong with low acidity, more reminiscent of the washed processed but with a little hints of the natural processing as the cup cools.

A little melon/strawberry mixing with some lemony floral tones on the front end of the cup balanced with a classic African bakers chocolate undertone. A little hint of caramel can be found at strong medium roasts.

A fuller bodied cup with higher acidity and very fruit forward. A fun cup to play with in with in the roaster. Light roasts have a pretty citric acidity upfront that fades into a fruity factor with just a little hint of its chocolaty undertone, clean enough to drink here but be ready for the more floral and acidic front loaded cup profile. Medium roasts are where we thought it shined; jammy body, lots of red fruit like tones balanced with a chocolaty undertone, exotic and sweet. Right around 2nd crack works but burns out much of the fruity and acidic notes that separate this cup from the Washed or Honey processed.

We thought this cup was best between a medium roast to just before 2nd crack roasts. Good bit of citrus crispness with pretty floral aromatics balancing with a bit of bakers chocolate and spice. Similar to the washed processed but a little fuller bodied with a little different acidity. Lighter roasts get very jazzy acidity with strong citric notes but can come off a little earthy, a longer setup helps with light roasts. Dark roasts get even fuller bodied but burn out the more floral tones (low acidity) which balance the cup so nicely, adds in some toasty smoky notes which some will like.

Best at the light to medium roast level. Good bit of citrus crispness with floral aromatics balancing with hefty bakers chocolate and spice. Similar to the washed processed but a little fuller bodied with unique and stronger acidity. Light roasts get very jazzy acidity, almost hop like, with just a hint of a dark tone. A bit sour for some but others will love it. Floral and sweet edged, reminiscent of green apple, with stronger citric notes. A hint of a dark tone to be found but pretty front loaded with lighter tones. Medium roasting is much more balanced, but less of that cool acidity, just as tasty but a bit less exotic. Fuller bodied with a more chocolaty spin, one still wont be able to miss those exotic floral tones but they will not hit you over the head, more highlights the cup. A wonderful season for the Zambia washed. Good clean cup profile making it pretty tasty from light to dark roasts. We found the lighter side of a medium roast to be our favorite. Fuller bodied cup with a sweet lemony crispness balanced with a chocolaty dark tone, hints of nuttiness and spice in the aftertaste. Similar to a Rwanda/Burundi/Kenya but with a bit more body and less herbal spice. Lighter roasts accentuate the brighter more floral/fruity tones, a bit more showy of a cup with its brighter characteristics but not as chuggable, can pull a little herbal balance. If you cannot tolerate a bit of citric crispness, darker roasts are the way to go, mutes up most of the brighter cup features presenting a real big bodied, smoky, complex and very dark toned cup of coffee.Price:Price: Original price was: $8.79.$7.79Current price is: $7.79.$8.79/lb$7.79/lb -
