Kenyans (including this one) are known for their complexity and depth of flavor. You will find all sorts of small minute notes including a refreshing citrus, slight berry, lemongrass, cocoa, molasses and a variety of others.

This is a multi-region offering. Purposeful blending from multiple mills and regions to achieve a lovely replicable Kenyan cup.

Tasting Notes:
Lighter roasts get a nice snappy citric and floral acidity with some soft fruit hiding behind it, almost a little orange peel but the cup is pretty front loaded with its acidity and not a ton of darker tones contrast. Medium roasts bring much better balance to the cup and a fuller body accentuating the rich chocolaty spice factor and reducing the acidity. Darker roasts make that classic Kenya herbal tone pop right out. Very clean with increasing body as the roast gets darker. A great balance between citrus, floral, herbal and chocolate. Easy to change the balance of these tones by roast level – a very fun coffee to play around with.

Roasting Notes: 
Kenyan coffees can be tricky to roast but not this guy – tasty from light to dark the best balance will be achieved from a city plus to full city (medium). If you are a bright coffee fan, quick light roasts will be perfect and leave the cup as crisp, sweet and refreshing as it can be. Not such a bright coffee fan? Try drawing out the roast and take it to a full city to a few seconds into second crack for a much lower acidity cup with a very nice depth of flavors.
